Hi guys and gals. My name is Ben. Long time anime fan, very new into cosplaying. Last year at the San Diego comic con Me and gf dressed up as Ash ketchum and she was Pikachu. This year I want to be Robo Cop and she might be Sailor moon (weird combo I know). I've been lurking the threads here and wow imagination at its finest!

Hi my name is Steve and I am from the UK :)
Collect 1:4 statues and 1:1 Busts when I can afford it which is very rare. Joined the site after accidentally finding a 1:3 scale Stormtrooper Statue on the net. Now the hunt begins lol

Hey just joined today thanks to an old spiderman shooter thread on how to make them yourselves, I plan on doing a build from actual watch parts, if anyone has experience with PCB and wiring please drop me a PM and if anyone who has done the shooter build I would definitely appreciate the help, looking forward to being part of the community and helping where I can :)

Hi, my name's Chris and I stumbled onto this site a couple days ago while looking for Supernatural prop replicas. I've been into cosplay for quite a while and I tend to be very picky about screen accuracy so this site seems perfect.

Hello people, my name Is Craig and i am new to the whole cosplay/costume/prop hobby world. I found this site by accident but have to say it looks very informative. I hope to learn tricks and tips so that i can develop my own props etc. Cheers.

Hi. I'm David. I'm a filmmaker living in New Orleans, LA. I'm a member of the 501st and soon to be a member of the Rebel Legion.

I have a Dune stillsuit and I'm currently working on a Samurai Darth Vader. I'm a regular at Dragon*Con and other cons. I've also been a camera operator for the Heroes of Cosplay TV show while wearing my Han Solo costume.

Hi! I wish I could change my username to something besides my name but yeah. ^^; I'm an amateur costumer that'll dabble in just about anything, and I'll do my best to upload the props and armored costumes I work on! I look forward to your input!

Hi all,

Just heard about this place, kind of by accident as I wasn't really looking. ;)

But having a quick look around, it looks like a pretty decent place to hang/lurk around. Not a real 'serious' collector as we just have a few items on display to fill up a couple of shelves in the basement arcade. Kind of random movie/tv stuff (ST-TOS, Harry Potter, Terminator, Bob and Doug).

It has occurred to me that it would be excellent to mod my TOS tricorder to have a display screen so it can be animated. Gone so far as finding a few displays, but that is as far as I went. But I see others have already done some mods (mostly TNG from what I have seen so far). But still a good read. :D

Any event, here are some programmable screens that I came across in my search - maybe someone on here may also find them useful (although the MP3 player fits my skill level better): The MicroController and Embedded System Store

Hello everyone,
just joined and love all the info and photos of everyone's work. I'm an amatuer prop builder and as a hobby, film maker, so I use props in short fun films.
Great site and people on here!
happy to be a part of it!

Hi guys,
I'm Steve from NYC. Long time lurker, first time member here. I've been active at GB fans for some time and built two proton packs, a "belt gizmo" and a couple other small ghostbuster props. Also tried my hand at a couple arc reactors, but now I really want to get started on some larger scale projects, namely a mark 5 or a mark 42 suit. There's just so many inspiring projects on here though its hard to decide what to attempt first.

You guys will be hearing from me soon! uploadfromtaptalk1399999722659.jpguploadfromtaptalk1399999864678.jpguploadfromtaptalk1400000033141.jpg

Hey everyone!

I thought I should finally get around to posting my introduction to the forum. Name's Sly and I absolutely love to build props, costumes, and anything else like it. Haven't made too many things but the ones I did were super fun. I've completed a Mega Man build and helped a friend with a Red Hood helmet. I started an Ichigo Vaizard mask and a Tony Stark costume (glove and arc reactor). Iron Man is my favorite project to work on however I've never actually finished a build (it will happen one of these days). I recently moved to Las Vegas so all my tools are still in California and I am itching to get back to it. I love seeing all the awesome creations on this site and it makes me proud to feel nerdy.

Keep on being awesome people!

Hello Everyone,

I'm Tom, nice to meet all of you. Back in highschool, I used to build guitars, models and odds n' ends. I'm finally in a position to start up again, and I figured this would be a good place to get advice and input. I'm looking into getting into a bit of leather work and relearn how to sew, perhaps venture into a little bit of cosplaying, and maybe some prop building. I also have trouble deciding on one project at a time, if you can't tell.

Anyway, I hope that we'll all get along. Your community seems awesome.

Thanks
