Hi, I'm Chris from the bay area. I've been trying to built various costumes mainly for Halloween over the past few years for myself and my son. My past projects include a Boba Fett costume and some Darth Vader pieces but very basic stuff. I'm looking into getting into foam armor building and hopefully gaining enough experience and courage to attempt some fiberglassing and molding. I guess I'm mainly interested in mech suits and armor type costumes and wiring them with lights.

Hi, I'm Alex, Im 17 years old and completely new to costume making. I found this site by searching for good, quality spiderman costumes to make as I would like to get a lot more creative. When I say new, I definitely mean new, like NO EXPERIENCE whatsoever, but i am hoping this site will help improve on that and encourage to make more costumes

Been into filmmaking and props for years...but haven't really done much of either.

Kind of a lurker, with some sculpting, molding and vacuumforming experience.

I've always been fascinated with making something out of (somewhat) raw materials.

I am, very obviously, a new member to the site, but have been appreciating for years all the amazing work and talent on this site!

Im not incredibly talented with props or replicas, but at least as a sound engineer i have some skill in other areas!

I found you guys because Adam Savage mentioned you in one of the videos in his (man) cave with Tested.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to make Zer0's sword from Borderlands 2.

Anyways, the reason why I joined was to get help and information to keep me moving forward.

Hello everyone. Im a recently retired Army sergeant. I've been looking into these post and you guys are awesome! I'm riding a wheelchair these days and I'm looking into making stuff with my hands. I'm trying to find a PDF for an iron man suit. I have a mac . Also I spent a great deal of time as an Iron Warrior with the 1st Armored Div, so it's only fitting that it would be my 1st try.

Hi all, my name is Mark, and I am from KC. I love props and models. I am a Firefly/serenity, star wars, star trek, Dr who, harry potter, and most superhero fan. Not really much of a gamer though. Hi from the UK. My name is Connor, ive just recently became interested in actually buying replicas etc rather than just admiring. I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Efx collectibles avengers products but since i live In England I wont be able to get it unless I find a distributor which will definitely be selling the actual props rather than just the posters and stuff so any help there would be a brilliant start so yeah, looking forward to some discussions with you guys. cheers

Hello everyone. I've been working the movie industry for 24 years now. The first 15 I was a model maker, then CGI came and so did the work. After that I got in to making props for film and TV and been doing ever sense, and still loving it!

Hey everyone! I found this site because I originally wanted to purchase a Judge Dredd helmet through memember MrPinski. He has awesome work, but unfortunately things didnt work out (because of bills) and I wasnt able to purchase one. So I've decided to give making my own helmet a try. This place has tons of information and inspiration. Everyone seems nice and is always willing to help out. I look forward to showing my progress when I start. As of right now im trying to understand this pepakura software. I'll be sure to look for posts on the basics of that program. Well see ya soon!
