My name is Chris and I’m new to the RPF. I’m 38 years old and live in sunny Florida. I started costuming (in earnest) when I put together my first EP1 Jedi costume for DragonCon 1999 and have been in the hobby since then. In addition to the fabric costuming, I’ve dabbled with lightsaber hilt construction, replica belts, leather armor, and blasters. I’m a member of both the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion. I’m very glad to be a part of this community and I’m looking forward to learning even more about the hobby.

Hi everyone! Long time RPF lurker here too.:cool
My name is Andy, 36 years old and live in upstate NY. Married for 15 years and have 4 beautiful children...2 boys 2 girls.
Hobby/prop interests include Knight Rider/KITT replica cars and Vader.. ANH mostly.
Currently in the process of building my KITT replica and about half way through a Rubies Mod.
I've enjoyed watching and reading everyones progress on this board and am very glad to have had the opportunity to finally become a member.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone.....

Hello all! I've been looking forward to being a member for some time and am happy to finally be here!
I've been building models practically my whole life and still have the "interesting" race car I first built on my own. It's amazing it still holding together.
Since college I've been focusing on costumes, masks and props for myself at first and then my kids. I love the challenge of a new costume and I've got acquainted with woodworking, sculpture, resin, fiberglass, etc. through the hobby. Lately I've been focusing more on props and trying to finish the pile of kits I've accumulated without getting too bogged down in the customizations (super-detailing is an awful addiction!).
I'm mostly interested in Real Space and Science Fiction topics. The more realistic the story/prop the happier I am. I'll take Alien over Fifth Element and Space Cowboys over Harry Potter.
I look forward to continuing to learn from you all and post some of my accomplishments for feedback.

Hello, all! My name is Jay, and I've been building props since the first time I went to the movies and saw a cool "ray Gun" and wanted to make one just like it. That was at least 45 years ago... turned 52 last December.
I was a photographer and illustrator for years, but the last several years I've made my living as a writer.
I don't have a huge prop collection, as I ended up selling off a lot due to medical expenses that suddenly cropped up! Starting to rebuild, however.
I've got a few original, screen used props, from Star Trek: TOS and Next Gen, Buck Rogers, Galaxy Quest, Mystery Science Theater 3000, etc. and my oldest prop is a molded sword/sheath that was used in Lon Chaney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I am also an avid model builder, both scratch and kit. Most, but not all, of my props and models tend to be Science Fiction in nature.
I also collect original art and Animation cels. I live with my girlfriend (who is 21 and thinks the prop building I do is just the coolest thing ever! - Perfect Women DO exist!) three snakes named Darvocet, Paxil and Xanax and a rat named Milo. To be honest, I am thrilled to finally be a member of the Replica Prop Forum.

I'm a 501st member, and I've been bitten by the prop and costuming bug bad! Seems like this is the place to be for all the good stuff.

I am a film maker by trade, making my living shooting corporate, commercials, rock promos and documentaries. I am currently finishing up a doco on Aliens' fan culture that I have been working on for the past two and a half years.

I have lurked here on and off for a while now, and have taken the opertunity to join up at last.
Im a general Sci-Fi fan, but conscentrate mainly on the U.K. obsession of the moment, Dr Who.
Like fellow member AdamS I have built full sized Daleks (one from 1964, one from 2007) using the www.projectDalek.com plans and forum.
Ive been a scale model maker for years , since I was a kid.
Ive recently finished the Dalek Tommy gun from the episode "Daleks in Manhatten" and am currently building the new Airfix styrene kit of the same name.
Also Hi to member Coz, who recently kindly gifted me the Water Pistol from the episode"Fires of Pompeii"
Ill post some pics when I work out what system for photos this board uses.

I'm 21 years old and come from Germany.
I am really happy to get the opportunity to become a part of this community. Although I'm just at the beginning of developing my prop-building skills, it became my biggest hobby. My other interests are not that interesting I guess :lol..I do play guitar and do the vocals in a local Folk-Metal Band. Further more I spend a lot time at drawing, painting and 3D-design.
I'm just finishing my training for graphic designer and probably am the biggest star wars fan within my class :lol (not allways an advandage :unsure)
I have just started doing my own custom mandalorian armor set for my character "Caloh Vorn" and I found this place here through the "The Dented helmet" forum.
