If this is still an option put me down.

Well, are the engraved, etched, or printed.

With the announcement of the new movie coming out we are going to open this run back up!

I've updated the list with those that have expressed interest. If you want off the list just let us know. If you want on the list, let us know!

Please add my name to the list… Heck, I'd be happy to get two if it helps get the run started!

This looks miles closer to what the one I bought from Etsy looks like. Fingers crossed that this gets made!

Agreed, I'd take two if it helped get this going

Is the interest list in the top of the thread still accurate? If so, that already puts us at 9! ;)

One nitpicky detail I've noticed is that the flask-holder, for lack of a better word, on the actual prop has very little coverage on the sides. If you look at stills or the movie, it looks like the side edges are rounded pretty conservatively, or at least that's what it looks like without having seen the actual prop in person.

It's an interesting touch, because it makes the flask look bigger than it actually is, without having an oversized belt buckle the way a 3oz flask buckle ends up being. However, at least from my Google searches, I've yet to find an off-the-rack mass produced flask belt buckle that has the same side edges, which makes me think that either the production team made these flask-holders from scratch (unlikely, since it is so widely available), or they trimmed the sides down a flask holder they purchased.

I guess where I'm going with this is that I wonder if you've noticed the same thing, since you said earlier that you have production photos (correct me if I'm wrong) that you're going by, and if so, if you're planning on similarly modifying your flask holders for this run? Just curious, since that would definetly make this run go that extra mile!

They definitely modified it. The bottom corner radius on both sides is also much tighter. This would create an extra step in getting them machined and would likely push a small run like this to an unacceptable price point. My rough guess would be somewhere near $100 per flask all said and done.

Wouldn't machining out the new corners also get the logo moved? Where it’s at right now is technically too high to be correct, and is visible within the “stock” visibility space, different from the hero prop. Would the placement of the logo be another concession for the unmachined corners?

That's what I'm thinking. I mean, if you compare the placement of the logo between the prop in the screenshot, and the replica prototype, you'll notice that the logo is placed much closer to the top of the flask on the prototype, whereas the screen-used prop has a generous space separating the logo from the top of the flask.

At the end of the day, if you're already shelling out 60 for a pretty close prop replica based on the hero prop, might as make it 100 to get as close as possible. Personally, I'd rather skip the version 2, and go straight to the more accurate version 3 ;) Seems inevitable, especially since interest will be high for another replica when the eventual Statesman spinoff movie/TV series debuts.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd definitely still be down for 2 at double the cost if it means getting a more accurate buckle.

I'm just in it for the logo on the flask for my display, to be honest, haven't found another one as good as this one. My original commitment to 1 flask remains either way, but I can't swing for 2 if they're bumped up to 100 apiece.
