A few people have asked me what I mean about the moving mandables so I have put together a little pic trying to explain.
O.K, The lower mandables are hollow so I can attach the top tooth of the lower mandable to wire, lets say a coat hanger etc. Bent around and fed into the head piece possitioned close to my mouth. Once glued and dry etc attach two small balls to the ends near mouth so when not in use i.e Bio is on they just stay there but when I go to take off the bio I hold the bio in place looking like I am going to remove it but realy I am possitioning the ends into my mouth so when the bio is removed I close my mouth and the pred mask will open his etc.
Its quite effective and gives off a little bit of relisim without using complicated motors etc. They wont move a huge distance like say a full roar but they deffinautley do move anouth to look cool
If you realy took your time you could attach the two top ones also but I just wanted to move the lower ones lol.
I had to make this pic using Larrys Pred head because I could not find a pic of a head that closely resembled the human face pic etc. Hope this is o.k Larry.
The pred mask is nearley finnished so I will be adding a few update pics soon.
In the mean time I have been making a duck tape dummy lol.
For anyone who does not know what this is for .... well its a makeshift dummy to be placed into a costume suit so I can paint up the suit without actualy being in it at the time etc.... did that make sence ? I hope so lol.
Here is a quick tip for anyone going to make one. If you can get different coloured tape so when you come to cut yourself free and reasemble the dummy with more tape you can easily find where the correct parts are by looking for the different coloured tape, makes life that little bit simpler.
Many thanks guy's. I'm glad you are liking him lol
Well today I added the quills.
I need them to be made from rubber so when I place on the bio they just bend down but once off they stand up again.
I decided to go and get a cheap rubber car mat. I managed to get one for only 50p
Then I cut a square out of the rubber mat and started to cut out some small quills.
I thought this would have taken me a long time to do but it seemed before I was even getting started it was already over
I then superglued them into place and left to dry. Once dry I gave them a quick blast of pva glue to make shure they stay there and once again when dry I painted them a gloss black.
