Here are the release times so far:

350 pieces available on 17th of July..... 150 pieces on the 18th of July.

No confirmation yet on whether Sideshow will get some of these or not like they did with the other exclusives.
My bet is they will, but they'll go QUICK.

This seems to be pretty much based in Asia. Limit of 500, so if Sideshow does get any, it won't be a lot. Maybe 50... maybe 150... Can't see them getting any more than that. Heh, even 150 sounds a little much.

if i remember correctly there was only 100 each of the ancient elders from AVP imported to the US, so maybe that's the magic number, i'm guessing we'll know pretty soon if they're gonna be available by the date listed. YAY!

lol, no problem. Just saying, even if Sideshow gets' em, there's only 500 that'll be released. And the majority of that will most likely be in Asia. Sucks, so we gotta keep tabs on this puppy for sure!

@Everyone:
A quick update. Eighthsamurai on the SSF Forums translated the text underneath the second-latest pic. Supposedly, Gort will come with the standard P2 accessories you'd expect (based on the picture), and the text states that he'll have a removable mask, interchangeable mandibles, and... A TROPHY SKULL!

I also ran the price they gave on ToysDaily through a currency converter. 20,000 yen is equal to roughly $221. Now that can't be right. No HT figure has ever passed the $200 mark, nor should it when it first comes out. Perhaps it'll be cheaper in the US. It ought to be; maybe money is viewed differently in other places. If this is the case, however, and I do have to pay 220 bucks for Gort, I might just back off. Seems pretty ridonkulous. Fingers crossed this isn't true! $170 at the most. Just because it's an exclusive, doesn't mean that's a reason to overprice the thing from the very start. It's also reusing old molds! What gives?

i want one of the big trophies!! i'm just gonna go ahead and rule out the possibility of them trying to give us a bone colored human skull right now, cause if that, in any way, is how they're doin us, then i will have to disown there asses!! but i'm sure, or pretty sure that they would take this opportunity to make it good considering the only new things been sculpted here are the bio and the re-breather, they gotta know that it's gotta have a better gimmick than a bio!! considering some of the accessories that come with some of their other toys lately... it's should be good

I can't see any smaller trophies being done. Not when there are like 2 or 3 big trophies out there that are the most iconic of the P2 trophy case .

I have never been interested in buying these hottoys, ( apart from the P1 ) BUT i am oddly enough , drawn to this one. not sure why at all.


nice to see they got the rebreather design right this time, although the hose did NOT come from the centre hehe.

He looks way cool. Only is it just me or does the P2 armour seems to be floating a bit on the chest due to the P1 body.

well... i'm totally lovin this don't get me wrong, really cool! it is a little weird with the P1 body, but i like the little leather strap for his left shoulder armor! strange color pallet all around (notice the upper shoulder bell is copper looking, bottom silver) strange that the legs look a different shade than the upper body but i don't really care considering what i'll probably do to the one i open

ya the more i look at these pics and this new color scheme for the gort i am just getting totally stoked!! i just hope the match the legs up with the upper body a little, but i'm loving the fact that this is happening

well i find it strange that hot toys would deliberately use a bodytype that has quills on it if they aren't gonna paint them? in his chest and shoulder you can clearly see they are there, now i didn't say this for any other reason than the thought of maybe they weren't planning on using this body, it is the prototype and i know it's coming out soon and all, but i just thought that was kinda strange, still love it! just weird...

OH! i just remembered!! ok say yes, they obviously planned to use a P1 style head, and for those who may not know, that head, the neck was different than any other hot toys pred and would only fit on a P1 body!! (because of the extra joint in the neck) so maybe they plan to actually resculpt a new P1 head (or are already workin on it) they resculpt their heads to better them all the time! i know i'm basing this off of unpainted quills, and i'm probably overthinking this ( i have a tendency to do that) but i thought i'd throw that out there

Y'know...I'm really sick of these 'exclusives' if they want to make something an 'exclusives' they should not choose a character that every one has been dying for all these years. I know that Gort in specific was the 'coolest looking predator' for a while because of his mask for a lot of people. 220 is a little ridiculous, shame on you Hot Toys - just lost a first time customer. It's not just HT either, I'm just tired of exclusives altogether.

That's just me though, I hope you guys score'em!!!

My fave trophy skull ever! Plus, there's just something so badass about a P1 in P2 armor with that color scheme. He looks pumped-up and ready for some awesome display action!

@BENSIN: It probably won't be $220; we talked this over on SSF. Money is in fact counted differently in Japan. For us, this figure will probably cost somewhere between $150-$185.
