NEW Hot Toys Gort Predator

Yeah... I agree... LE's bloooooooow! Jusy another way for companies to get more money, and ebay sellers to raise the price through the roof. This is why, I need to hit the Lotto, because I will NEVER be able to afford ANY HotToys PREDATOR's. I am stuck with the 7-8" scales, and those are even priced too high sometimes.
 
Apparently, SS will only be bringing 90-100 of these figures to the con... so we might have more non-attendee editions available than attendee editions. Good news for tomorrow, I suppose. The downside is EVERYONE will order then. SS definitely screwed the pooch here, so fingers crossed that we'll have more up for sale tomorrow (since only a small amount were sold today).

Yeah from what I heard they sold less to the Attendee just because of having to bring them to Comic Con. Leaves more for Non-attendee, but it's going to be a mad house on SS at 10 AM. Best of luck for all here on the LAIR.
 
Got Waitlisted; damn. Thing is, if SS will bring only 90-100 to the con, and non-attendees will get only around 100-200 (based on what I've seen on SSF), where are the other 200? Maybe Waitlisters will have a chance? I dunno... hope so.

The site took FOREVER to load, and my connection's head-to-toe legitimate.
 
Well, I wish everyone luck in pursuit of a P1 with P2 armor!!

I was on their "waitlist" once. When I was finally notified that my credit card would be charged, I'd totally forgotten about what I had ordered - or pre-ordered. I cancelled the order, and was like nope! I don't care anymore.

I thought collecting was a way to escape the ******** of real-life, and to have fun and meet people. It seems that SS doesn't think so, but instead makes you jump through ******** hoops and pay out the ass for their goods. I understand it's a business, but come on.

Ah well, enough ranting. Good luck guys!!

To those that are getting it, congratulations. To those that didn't, it is not a loss. 80% of this particular figure has been released before. I'm sure it will be parted out. All I want is the new breather, biomask, and skull. At least with the last Lost Predator, it was a new head, new body colors, armor, mask and weapon. All unique to it. When I initially saw the sneak peek/preview of this Guardian Predator, I expected the final pictures to be different, pretty shocked and disappointed that it was.

Got to do some mining here to find the picture of the lost predators, I'm pretty sure not just the masks, but the skin colors and armor where all different. Bad form on Hot Toys taking such a short cut with this figure. It's not worth the price.

Edit - When it is parted out, how will you be able to tell a P1 head/body from a Guadian one? P2 armor from Guardian?

Guardian head is paler with more/bigger spots. Guardian armor is more like a silver/gold color, rather than the reddish/brown P2 armor.
 
Well there’s no reason other than ****** up fate as to why I didn’t get mine. I was at work, it was break time, the boss-man was gone,..it was 11:45, I had the pre order page up and refreshing it every 5 seconds…but the damn internet goes down at like 11:52!!! and won’t connect. I grab my cell phone.. Call once and I get a customer service rep immediately, she puts me on hold then my phone goes dead. I call again and I get a rep. right away she puts me on hold, my phone goes dead again. I use the company phone, order line is busy, busy, busy, when I finally get someone, she asks if I’m calling about the
“Pred-dead-der” lol! That’s how she pronounced it. I say yeah, she’s like it sold out 5 minutes ago so i'm wait listed.

I did it on a T1 line :)

I logged on and went to the sideshow order section with the Pred at the bottom of the list.

Sometime before 10 it took me to a streamline order page that refreshed every 10 seconds, but if I refreshed with browser button it was shorter....

When it crossed 10AM it gave me an order page with login spaces, so I filled in the box and my info.

Then it went blank for about a minute.

Then said some message (I forgot what, the SSF folks have a copy of it up at their website).

And then about 5 minutes later I got the Waitlist screen, and I clicked on that.

Email from Sideshow says Waitlisted at 10:09 AM

I called Sideshow about the blank screen & message and the guy said they sold out within a minute; the waitlist screen popped up while I was talking to him.

We'll see what happens... crossing fingers :D

I was kind of just watching things on this and so I went to the sight to check out the pics again. The next page told me I 'snagged' a $25 gift card from them. That might take the edge off of a purchase.
 
Hey, guys? I'd check your e-mails; over the past few days we've been getting tons of Wait List conversions :)! All the way from 17:01 to 17:05:something. If you guys got in on the WL a few minutes after it went up, you'll probably end up getting one!

I got my WL confirmation today... I'm so happy.
