New 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote

Anyone know any cool Easter eggs on this, I know it can turn tvs on and off and it makes a noise if you click it 7 times, it can do morse code and can work on infra red car keys, but are there more cool features on it? Thanks, also there were two small black marks on the plastic on the slider when I got it, anyone know what to do for that? Thanks, and thank you wand company for giving us the single greatest prop from all 50+ years of doctor who.

There's loads. Hold down in FX mode after 6th press and you get a torch mode. To be honest, the possibilities are endless. Infra red light switches - infra red deadlocks - if you're willing to go all in - pretty much everything from your front door to your kettle could be done through the sonic.

While I'm at it, I want to express my disappointment and anger at the BBC for giving Capaldi the same sonic as Matt. It is, through my eyes, the most hideous sonic of them all. So pleased TWC did a Tennant version!!!

On a happier note, really love Capaldi and the new season - listen was an unbelievable episode. Can't wait for saturday!!!

Thanks. I think it's really cool what this thing can do. I liked listen not as much as most people but I feel the same way about blink, I'm mixed about the ending though, it was beautiful but at the same time he did just find Gallifrey, so you know...there's that. While I lik series 8 as a whole, there hasn't been any really good stand out episodes yet, but I'm sure the finale will be great.

I just got my replacement after I had some electronic issues with my first one. The Wand Company has excellent customer service and replaced the original at no charge and very quickly so that was really great.

There are two things that I am a little concerned on though.

The first thing was the light in the emitter was not facing straight out the tip but was at a 45 degree angle inside the dome. I was able to fix it after I saw a YouTube video showing you could pull the tip forward as it was in with pressure, When I pulled it, it did straighten the light inside but now is loose. I think a little drop of glue should fix this though.

The other is the clear section seems to have lines in it that I don't remember having in my original. There is a noticeable line or Ring inside the middle that visible when the light hits it and a wavy line near the bottom. Again its more visible as you move it in the light, but here's a couple pictures where it should be visible. I hate to complain after just getting the replacement, but I think my original looked better outside the electronics issue.

Mine definitely has the centre ring (mine is from the first batch built) and someone may correct me if I am wrong but I think its a casting line. As for the line closer to the collar, someone else may have ideas for that.

I hope it's okay that I post in this thread, seeing as it is a bit old :)
This is the first time I post here, so please excuse me if my questions has been answered elsewhere.

First off, I just have to say that this is the most awesome prop I have ever seen! And I can't believe how awesome TWC is, even coming here and discussing, answering questions and what not. The only problem I had with it, was that my tv can only be turned on if I press a button for a couple of seconds, and the gestures don't allow that. But then I read that you can code the double press and then hold the second press, so now I can turn my tv on and off, and I couldn't be happier! :-D

Sorry for the rant, now for my question:
The sonic has the fx mode, where it makes ten sounds (plus the "hidden" anti/clockwise sound), but I haven't been able to find anyone discussing what episodes they come from? Accept for the one from the Sea Devils. I figure "Mk1 sonic" is the first doctor's?
I also expect the "broken sonic" to be from it's last appearance in "11th hour"?
I have seen the entire 9th to 12th, but most episodes only once, so I apologize if it is obvious :)

The First Doctor never had a sonic screwdriver, nor did the sixth. The Sonic Screwdriver first appeared in the Second Doctor's final story and looked like a silver pen light. The Sounds that aren't immediately recognizable are probably from the third or fourth Doctor's sonic screwdriver. Though the majority are from the new series, I'm pretty certain that one noise came from "A Christmas Carol" from the broken sonic screwdriver, but other than that I'm not sure, but the beeping noise is from when the Tenth doctor was tracking something, and I think one noise came from the the Tenth doctor's sonic screwdriver from "The Eleventh Hour". Not a very good answer I know, and I appologize accordingly, but that's all I'm sure of.

Actually, The Second Doctor's sonic first appeared in Fury from the Deep

Recently got one of these as a Christmas gift from my wife, and I just wanted to say this thing is fantastic! :D

I love the look and feel of it, the sound FX are really kewl, and I like the fact this was based on a 3-D scan of the screen-used original, now owned by David Tennant. Can't really do much better than that, imho.

Mine had no issues to speak of, except that the blueprint included had a chunk torn out along the middle-top edge. A quick e-mail to TWC remedied that, with a replacement one on the way. What service!

I honestly haven't been able to stop playing with it since I got it, lol. Thanks to the folks at Wand Company for another great product!

I've used my sonic for almost a year now and im totally happy with it.

has anyone found any other hidden easter eggs / hidden codes for these. I've searched this thread but haven't found many. just curious.

If you press the button ten times and hold it on the tenth press, the sonic will act as a flashlight, even though the SMD leds aren't very bright.

If you press it 3 times and hold it it can turn off almost any tv, if you press it 3 times and don't hold it then you will hear some Tenth Doctor quotes in in morse code. If you click it 7 times it will give some kind of emergency sound.

The seven clicks, emergency alarm is new to me. I'd discovered the flashlight mode, but you only need to click five times (hold on the fifth).

what mode is your sonic on to get the flashlight? I tried the 10 and 5 clicks method but I didn't get anything.

I did get the emergency alarm by doing the 7 clicks in fx mode, that was neat

Edit*

so i realize i had the flashlight setting on, there wasn't any sound or click to signify it thats why i was confused :)

so what signifies the Torch Setting? as I tried the 5 & 10 clicks...

You just hold it and the light stays on but with no sound is heard. The Light isn't very bright though. But you can use the screwdriver to lock and unlock your car.

I was initially confused by this as well, but as it turns out, this setting really just mutes the sound as you still have to hold the button down.

Are these undocumented settings? If so, we should have a separate thread that documents them.

Ahhhh then I was doing it correctly... thanks for the update...
