Never Ending Story The Book

Jenni,
do you have a pic?
This will happen fear not.
Anybody figure out the font yet? that is one step that is free for everybody.

I just checked Times new Roman and it looks preety spot on. You can set all letters in Caps, then enlarge the first letters by 6 pts higher than the rest of the word and it looks about right. They might have then stretched the lettering slightly. I did a mock up, but being new here, I cannot figure how to post the image.

And pictures......:thumbsup maybe ask if you can look inside it see if there is something we might miss.

If possible, please look inside :love, it would be great to see pictures from the snakes on the top and bottom of every page and to know if there are illustrations etc.

Has anyone been able to confirm if the font is actually Times New Roman? I am almost 100% sure that it is the exact font used.

Here is my Auryn, it came from the studios that made the film.

Once this gets a little closer to getting realized, we should start an investment fund. When the books become available, everyone who invested could then pay the difference to get a replica.
I'm down for a blank book - because even a blank book can be re-done by its owner to have text inside.

I'm quite positive there are pictures in the book and can't wait to see if you can get detailed pics the_eli_arias!
By the way, a glimpse of some kind of picture/design can be seen early in the movie:

As for the font, Times New Roman is what I used as well and looks close. However, it looks like the length of the "-" on the T is longer on the book, so besides making the "T" larger, it would also need to have this adjusted.

I'm game for a blank paged Book. and by the book measurments given, my auryn is exact for the book cover just needs to be finished a golden bronze.

Whipped this up tonight:

Sculpting this kind of stuff is not my expertise, so I can't wait to see what other folks can do with this design.

Thanks! It's just oil based clay that I sprayed with primer. I'm planning on molding it up and cleaning up the cast a bit more.

Awesome job Vash.. For something that's not your expertise, you have skill..

Look forward to seeing more on the Book.. This is one of the main reasons I wanted to join years ago.. Searched for years on trying to get one.. If it's a go, I'd love to put my hand up for one..

I love this book, always wanted to have a prop replica XD - I have a thing for book-props :)

I do think the font is "Times New Roman" :)
Also, Eduard - AMAZING WORK!

It does look very much like Times New Roman. Over at the typophile.com forum they'll be able to tell you for sure. They know the subtle details of different font designs there.

As for the pictures in the book: they might not be pictures at all, but richly decorated initials (as described in the novel).

The sculpt looks pretty good to me!
Has there been a book binding company chosen yet to actually make the books?
I fugure you could have them do a run of the books in the leather color appropriate to the movie book, then finish them off afterwards - adding the decorative borders, cover text....
A while back when I was looking into having some blank 'Handbook for the recently deceased' made, the company sent me paper and leather samples and thier prices were pretty reasonable, though i cannot remember.
If it comes to that, anyone who is interested would just pay for the blank-binded book direct from who makes them, and then forward the books to someone here who will finish them off.
