Nerf Aliens Pulse Rifle Build

This is rad! Now have to build one. The addition of the SPAS from walmart is nice. I really like the idea of scavenging toys for parts. Going to do this!

After I get my PR in hand again it looks like a visit to Walmart is in order so I can do a retro-fit. :thumbsup

Actually, it's not Wal-Mart that has them. It's the Dollar General stores that carry them. I found quite a lot of stuff at the Dollar General that could be used as potential firearm replicas over the while and have a post dedicated to the toy weapons found there.

Just keep in mind, supplies tend to vary depending on the stores, so you may have to check multiple ones to find one or two of them.

:facepalm Oops! My bad everyone, being uk based I get your shop names mixed up sometimes, sorry. Thanks for setting me straight CB :thumbsup

:facepalm I just left Florida and the land of Dollar General.

Dude! Is that QC pricing?

Amazon.com has two sheets of styrene for 11.17 plus 4.50 shipping. If you can get it shipped to NY.

Amazon.com: Black Styrene Sheets, .08"x8x21 (2): Toys & Games

Wish I had used black as opposed to white for making the shrouds and magazine base.

Yes we have 1 local store that sells styrene sheets. I use them often for my custom model kit builds.

They are VERY expensive and builds can get expensive very quickly.

That same sheet is around $17 + 15% taxes here. The thicker the sheet the more expensive it is.

The 2 thick sheets i use for the decking of my 5 foot r/c tugboat were like $70 together... ouch.

Holy **** and i thought it was expensive here. I bought mine from a dealer on ebay for €5 each

Sent from the Garage!

Gotcha. Thanks for for the tip! This is going to be fun. If I come up with something interesting I'll post it up.

My SPAS cage arrived this morning :D (thanks a million CB2001 for all your efforts in getting this to me :thumbsup). I've already started working out what tube I'm going to use as the barrel :lol

The thinner alu tube would be more accurate, but not sure if its dart worthy yet; gotta find a dart first as the kids have been at my ammo stash keeping the family safe from the undead again (darn zombies :darnkids :rolleyes).

Attaching the SPAS cage to the blaster securely is going to prove interesting, will have to ponder on it a bit I think.

The DG near my home had two, but I decided to wait a bit... Today I was out and about and stopped by three different locations 'til I finally found one. Picked that up and stopped by one good thrift shop that always has Nerf guns, and picked up the end of a Longshot (for the barrel) for just $1. The also had a CS-35 Raider (no stock or magazine) and a Stampede (also no magazine, but only $3.90), but I passed on those. Now all I need to do is assemble the lot and fabricate a shroud.

I'm wondering if whoever designed that spas for the toy company isn't a pulse rifle fan, since that ejection port looks just like an 870. If used right, that toy is all you need for a grenade launcher, and it loads shells too.

I just looked this amp up online. How do you have it wired up? I'm a bit confused by the trash can, two lines to "In" and the speaker hook up. Oh, and do you have a link or other info on that speaker? Thanks!

Just seen this post, sorry man, not sure how I missed it :)facepalm).

I was as confused as you are, should be six wires (2in, 2out, 2power), not five right? Turns out it has a shared internal common, but had to google hard to find that out. There is a wiring diagram that comes with it that was easy to follow though, so no stress in the end :thumbsup

Here's the link the 3w full range speaker:

Again, sorry it took so long.

Thanks Canobi, but I already figured out a solution, finished the gun and sold it. I used a powered speaker for an iPhone. It worked great and was very loud. But, thanks for the reply, it will help others I'm sure.
