Pulse rifle build advice

I am putting together a pulse rifle and need some help with paint colours for the shrouds I would like to do them in Brown Bess. I know this colour no longer exists so is there a alternate colour people use any help or advice I would be very great full.

I have read that Tamiya's

TAMIYA 85090 TS-90 JGSDF

is supposedly pretty close to the original Brown Bess. There are far better qualified members here, though. Looking forward to see this project progress!
