Narcissus Builders Club N Stuff.

Yeah I noticed. It also looks like kitparts stuck to the surface where some of the pieces Intersect. Yet others just meet and have kitparts stuck on top to hide the join. Sucks about your power. So just to get this straight..... A truck hits your power out and you have to pay $1800 to get it fixed? I'd be puttin $1800 worth of bricks to his truck!

Paul no I haven't as yet. Been working on the interior. Gotta have something to show while you guys have nearly finished. Plus I'd like to have my model built to see how I'm gonna do it. There's also a place in Osborne park that sells ABS sheets. You should go for HIPS though in a .75 I reckon.

It almost looks like a mortice and tenon joint in some places. Weird as hell.

Yeah, truck took out the lines that cross the street. Mine doesn't, but the power pole was badly shaken (I was home the last time this happened and the whole front of the house was nearly torn off while the pole twanged like a twig). The power company deems everything between the pole and the house to be something I own and have to take care of myself, and since the house is old and so's the gooseneck and the meter box, they refuse to reconnect unless I install the modern types. Which also requires install of a new earth even though there's already a perfectly good one because that code has changed too. And it just goes on and on. Suffice to say I am right now researching off-grid solar/storage solutions. :lol

Straight styrene all the way for me. Mulford Plastics should have it in that size? Anyway, if it's already in my stash I might as well use it.

Yeh I'd be looking into Solar too, that blows monkey b@lls!

I got a 3 kw system. I installed 10 panels and can fit a further six which will be going up soon. On a good clear day it generates me a saving of 40 cents in the dollar. So with the power costs here going up by 60% in the last 4 years I'm going back to 2010 prices. Lol.

Top styrene layout is just about finalized now...

I updated the rear section decals tonight based on additional screen caps from the BluRay.
Should have a first pass at the entire ship done next week for Simon to print and check.

Paul, wait up - I have a solution WRT the flanking pipes and the new hull proportions but it might affect the panelling on the waist band. I'll email you some renders in a bit.

Here's the decals that can be used if anyone is brave enough to add even more and replicate details from the full size set piece.

Bloody nice Lee. Um, to be a git, "Auxiliary" is missing an I and you've got "Lanuching Clamp" - are these as per the original or typos? :)

Well then in that case let me repeat "bloody nice", because it is! :)

I hope I haven't fatally annoyed Paul. We have these small niggly issues with the proportions of the rear hull. I can't get the engines low enough nor the pipes with what we have right now, it's only a 5mm difference or so but you can notice a gap here and an overlap there that you don't get with the original. With all these angled panels, change one thing and you change another three that you didn't want to.

I'm seeing another late night coming up tonight...

Na mate - all good :lol.
I'm as keen as anyone to make sure we can get it as accurate as possible.

Did you get my other emails? I recon a move of 4mm for the pipe is about what is needed. It will effect the mid section, but only a mm here or there.
What's another days work when you consider what we have invested into this project already!.

..and the decals look great Lee - very nice job :thumbsup

:lol just stirring :lol

No actually - they haven't come through. But you mean 4mm outwards, right? That sounds smack in the kind of range I was thinking, yeah! :)

Did you still need these Simon?
I just re-did the wings from the best source I had, let me know if you want the vector file.

Nice Lee, you're cooking with gas man. :)

Paul and I have been nailing down proportional issues. We've altered the length of the twin 'tails' between the engines, the height of the engine seats, angle of the top of the upper engine seat and the location of the 'shoulders' on the waist band, not to mention reworking the rear upper quarter panel length and angle. Among other results the pipe detail fit is now better relative to its surroundings and the engine fit solution is a LOT better...I'm way happier...owe Paul a vote of thanks for being very patient.

Paul's working on the physical proto for the rest of the weekend and I'm sure he'll post some good stuff (hint hint pics pics). :lol
