Jeesh guy's this is just the prototype... There's a few issues that need ironing out but nothing Major. You folks are easily pleased... I figured you for a bunch of Anal Rivet counters.

Seriously though were pretty close. The nose on this is a bugger to get right. But we will fix that up and may have a few mm to find here and there. Dya here that Paul?... You're a genius.

Wow, thanks guys. I'm very humbled :$
She really is a beautiful ship. Can't wait to do some more on her.
Come on Simon, chop chop!

I figured you might refine her a bit once you get some kits parts on. Still, it's already amazeballs!

I may have to borrow your mockup mate. I'm having trouble working on the flat surface of the drawings. It may be easier if I can lay the paper on the panels and temp stick the kitparts on. Hoping to get mine cut in the next week or so. Here's a pic. Some of the kitparts need trimming so this ain't an indication of the overall fit. I need to see it at the correct angle on the rear left/right panels for the tubing.

You can grab the prototype if you need to Simon - there's not a lot more I can do with it anyway until the kit parts are test fitted to confirm the styrene layout.

This might help :) The Hornby High Level Piers set.
The blocks from the set are used as the seat supports.

Well I'll be ..... Nice work. I had the bottom half of the seat supports as a Vosper part and was looking for the smaller blocks. Wicked.... Off to find one now. Woo Hoo!

Cool find. thanks mate

Just bought two sets on ePay.co.uk :)

Simon, there's also a set on the Aussie ePay .. so should be easy for you to find a set or two, mate :)

Thanks Niels.. I bet you got the set I bookmarked earlier today. As soon as these train guy's wise up to the fact these were used on movie stuff the price is gonna go through the roof..... Sealab springs to mind.

No worries mate off to find one now. So I figured out a L'il issue I was having. Paul printed me off the 1:1 styrene panel templates and I was matching kitparts against those and comming up short. Even with the correct trimmed parts. Now if this was the case then our model was too small by about 5 mm. Turns out the templates were off and not the model. Now that could be the printer that was used or our Genius got it wrong but the main thing is the models dims are just fine. Been messing around with some kitparts.

Argh - not sure what went wrong with the templates - I could have sworn I checked them after printing... :confused
I had to print them on the laser printer instead of the plotter that day because it wouldn't plot (I fixed that today!)
But hey - I'm only human! :$

I'm glad you've have made sense of it all now though. Looks great :cool

Man, that looks fantastic!! :love
It's amazing what a difference a few kit parts and an engine can have!
