Happy to hear the bits fit!

Cheers mate. Just a couple of panel to check and were ready to sign off on the acrylic files. Just waiting on Martyn with the engines to confirm they marry up and were good to go. If anyone wants to get started on the Hull and Armature the files will be ready for sale soon. The Resin Monkey is waiting on some more kits at the mo but expect the resin stuff out Dec/Jan unless I get it done sooner.

Not sure as yet.... Still ironing that out. Should have an answer soon. I would think all up this model will set you back around $12/1300 to complete. Now that could drop depending on whether you get the parts laser cut or CNC'd. I have no controll over those costs so you should shop around when you have the files. I only going on what it would cost me. It cost me $400 including acrylic. You could save more again by cutting your own styrene panels. This is a BIG model with a lot of parts but we are trying to keep the costs down for you guy's.

Ok... So we had a Board Meeting and came to the unanimous decision as for the cost of the files. The Files will set you back a mere $300. For that you will get all the Dxf files required to build the Narcissus. That includes the 3mm acrylic and the 1mm Styrene panels. You will also receive assembly instructions. This will be paid directly to Paul (Woodlake). There is also plans to build your own armature. Either in acrylic as Paul has done or Steel/aluminum as I have. If you want to get cracking on it straight away these should be available next week. So if you are collecting your own kitparts the wait won't be long. If you are waiting on the resin parts then at least you'll be ready when they arrive. I will post here when they are ready and update the interest thread in the JY.

Thanks

G'day mates, sorry, have been head down bum up with tiling and grouting and fitting cabinets and whatnot. Mostly done now thank god.

Simon, I need to make that small tweak on the nozzle strakes before hitting print, I had them too large on the original file and went slightly too small on the new one.

Paul, did you make the change to the angle of the "circle" plate for the lower engine mount? I'm still working to my original angle for that so there will be a fit problem there if not, we'd better compare notes. Easily sorted anyway, will shoot you the model file tonight or tomorrow.

Simon, I broke out my Leichter hulls too...still not sure whether seating the hull flat on the Narc centre strip gives you the angle of the front slope of the engine body or not - it would have been so easy to trim them to fit - but it's bloody close you know. Anyway I'll make my mind up and have the lower engine body shaped out tonight and detailed up for print hopefully by the end of the week. Details are easy, it's getting the profiles dead on that I'm getting all anal about. :)

Upper engine will follow right away, I can use a lot of the same lofts.

Yes I did Martyn. As per your email, I moved it 20mm. Everything should line up.

Bewdy. Yep to second Simon, pics pliz in that case! Couldja shoot me a .dxf? Might as well work to exactly what you now have. :)

By the by that proto really does look freakin' fantastic. Nice work. This is one of my top ten ships...so stoked!

PS the length dims versus the Bower engine look pretty good...just that bit longer, as it should be (IMHO). We're on target!

No problem Martyn, I'll send you an email shortly.

I really appreciate the kind words. I have put a lot of work into getting it to where it is, but ultimately this has been a great team effort and would not have gotten this far without having every member of the team do their part.

I'm currently reworking the instruction set to reflect the changes that have been made since the original issue...

Well I seem to be late into this project due to other commitments taking up all my time but just have to say this is a fantastic project & a great offering to the SS community.
Commended to all who have brought this to the table.
Oh, Im in too please.
