My second Rubie's TNG Phaser conversion.

Found another TNG Rubie's phaser, so I decided to convert it into something more closely resembling the on-screen props. Took the whole thing apart, removed that awful decal, and began masking off all the areas I was going to paint. For the metal sections, I used Rustoleum bright coat metallic finish, Kylon matte black paint+ primer for the black grips, emitter, and trigger section, and Rustoleum fluorescent neon green for the faux settings bar. I couldn't wire up a proper series of green LEDs, so I figured that was the next best option.

Looks pretty good for only about a day's worth of work!

I am only begining to understand the world of star trek props, but this is clearly an improvement on the original. Clean work!
