I bought Another howard hughes blue print a week or so ago and I finally got my hands on a Hero screen-used Bulldog Cafe Menu..I never thought I would get my hands on an actual menu, but I finally did. Now I have a menu from the cafe and south seas club. I am considering getting them framed together, but my wall space is non-existant. haha I got the bulldog cafe menu today. The thing is absolutely gorgeous.

Also, I have a Billy Campbell signed 4400 Card on its way as well. Yeah it isnt rocketeer, but I figured it will be the closes I get to his signature for now

Thanks for the comment

I just updated the original post.

I added photos of my production storyboards of the animated short nazi propaganda film, the original 35mm film of the nazi documentary and animated short that used in the film, and a production extra stop motion puppet helmet on top of production notes and sketches of the rocketpack, harness, and gauntlets

NICE!!!! You know I'd LOVE to see the production notes on the gloves and harness!!! :p

Thay is amazing, you are what I like to call a die hard fan! well, in this case, I guess the ultimate Rocketeer fan as to not confuse movies because you have no die hard movie memorabilia in your collection, :lol So how much has this amazing set cost you so far?

Awesome collection. I love this film. Easily one of the best comic (graphic novel) films. They need to bring out that anniversary dvd that Stevens mentions in Brush with Passion. A few questions:

1. Is that Jenny photo an actual photo?
2. Can you put up some photos of the rocketpack production sketches? I can't remember if some are in my movie magazine. I love the design of that pack.

Thanks.

haha :lol, Well I love the Die Hard Series. The first and third one were pretty good. Hmm, I am not sure how much my collection has cost me so far. I know it has been a lot. More than 4,000 I believe. The bronze bowen statue was my most expensive item surprisingly. It cost me $1,100. The rocketpack was second most expensive item which was $1,000. I dont worry about it as much because everything has been collected through a six and a half year span. If I paid that much in a year, then I would need counseling haha.. Also, I do get several offers for certain items I have that could totally pay off my entire collection.

1) It is a replica photo. It is a copy of the original that was sold on ebay a few years ago when disney had their big rocketeer auction
2) what magazine do you think it was in? I dont think any of these sketches have been published in any type of rocketeer publication thingys

I will be updating the original post soon. I got my hands on a first draft script originally owned by dave stevens, the Master Replicas prototype helmet that was used in marketing campaigns, and the sideshow exclusive statue,

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY)

well I would say its worth every penny then! I especially like your rocketeer statues! *in a borat voice*(and yes I still think its funny enough to quote btw) Verrry Niceeee!

The official Rocketeer movie magazine. I remember some sketches of the rocketpack. Maybe it was just the two blueprints in the movie. I have the magazine boxed up and can't check it now.

I wish I caught that Disney auction. I guess you picked up that original Bull Dog Cafe menu a month or so ago too on eBay. I'll have to settle for the one here on therpf. However, there was an eBay seller a few years ago that had South Seas Club menus and a Hughes 1:1 (I think) rocketpack blueprint. They were selling these as official although the menu was never seen on screen. I thought they were fakes as they weren't selling fast. Do you know about these? I probably should have picked up that 1:1 blueprint just in case...

:lol haha thanks......I just added photos of the sideshow exclusive Premium Format Statue...The statue is heavy and huge...

Also, I added photos of the Master Replicas MR prototype Helmet aka the one used in their marketing ads..It was casted off of a screen-used helmet...Now I have 6 helmets in the collection...

The sketches are different then the ones used in the rocketeer souvenir magazine...I look them up a couple of days ago, and they are different...The sketches that I was able to get my hands on go into detail where certain things are suppose to be etc etc

Also, I got an amazing rocketeer prop the other day. It is being shipped out as we speak or read, but I am praying it gets here safely!

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

My God - it's beautiful! I still want me a finhead helmet - BADLY - Buy I want one made of fiberglass - not the MR one.

In the pic of the marketing stuff - is that profile item a BIG PATCH? If so that's awesome! Where did you get the mini statue of the tower at the observatory?

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

The MR prototype helmet is fiberglass I believe. They marketed the nice looking fiberglass screen accurate helmet in their ads, but sold a squished metal type helmet...

Yeah, the patch is pretty big. They were made for the rocketpack and helmet crew...They were made to go onto their leatherman jackets..Supposedly only 6 were made...I own 2 of the 6...Got it directly from the guy who fabricated the helmets, painted the helmets, and attach the lenses...the other came from the stage manager who befriended the crew...really nice people..

I got the Monument tower at Griffith Observatory...They sell them in their shop for like 20 dollars..They have an online store...I thought it was pretty cool and it added to my collection (Griffith Observatory Online Store)

Also, I got my hands on a rocketeer prop that I been searching for forever! I finally got my hands on a production used rocketeer lower harness buckle...Its been shipped...Hopefully it arrives safely!!!!!

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

The Rocketeer Artist Edition is getting ready to come out at Comic Con. I thought it would be around Christmas like the deluxe...It surprised me. I was lucky and just happened to be at IDW's site looking for information on another title.

I think I'll pick up that monument as well. It seems to be a nice piece.

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

Now I need to go and get the DVD. I didn't know about the comics. I always wondered how much they had to pay the Hughs corporation.

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

Wakeem, if you are interested in getting the Rocketeer Artist edition book. I recommend pre-ordering or ordering it online....IDW is taking pre-orders for comic con attendees and online orders to be shipped to you...I recommend ordering it now because this book is only limited to 300.

Hmmm, I am not sure how much they paid the hughes corporation...I think I heard somewhere that disney owns the rights for anything howard hughes..

Also, I created a new thread to show my screen-used/ production used props...My original post is getting too crowded with photos...I added pictures of my Hero Bulldog Cafe menu, my production used lower harness buckle, script, etc etc

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY/updated)

I'm curious since I have not seen either,

Do either of the Menus ...Bull Dog Cafe menu Or the South Seas Club Menu have anything actually listed inside?

I'm curious IF they went to the trouble of listing Meals and Drinks to chose from inside....

Re: My Rocketeer Collection aka my finhead obsession (Pic hEAVY)

I am beginning to think you might...just might ...like the ROCKETEER :love

AWESOME Collection !

I grew up with the Rocketman Seriels. The Rocketeer flight suit was so much cooler.

We need a World Class Science fiction museum that can rotate Sci Fi Collections of such caliber. We need an east coast - west coast set of museums.

Thank you for sharing your collection.
