My On Stranger Tides wig update.

Well, finished the new bone scarf strand and attached it, along with modding my wig (actually almost completely re-did it) to look like Jack's new look.

Did you make a new wig, or alter your previous Jack wig?

Thanks man. It started off a part 1 wig, then I modded it to a part 2-3 wig and now I modded it to a part 4 wig. It's like it's growing with me, hehe... Still have a few more tweaks to do and it will be finished.

Very nice!! My dreads were kanekalon extensions that I rolled and steamed to make mine, but they are heavy and keep coming unraveled on the ends, so I wanted to update mine as well and thought of switching to wool. Is that what yours are? Any dread advice is greatly appreciated!

Jants, your wig is PHENOMENAL! Honestly, I'm in awe. o_o I took a risk and showed Travis knowing the inevitable outcome and his only reaction was "... WELL WHAT THE HECK! WHEN DO I GET ONE!? " XD

Are you going to be commissioning?

If not, that's cool. I'm thinking of making some blondeish dreads on clips so we can change the wig up to accompany whichever costume I'm wearing at the time... ( Giselle/Scarlett or Angelica ).

Aww shucks, thanks. :thumbsup I've made my fair share of dreads, using synthetic hair and all...but they just don't have the right look, so it's wool all the way. Key is to fray the wool really well, before dying them the proper colors (various shades of blonde, light browns etc...). I also have more human hair in my wig, then I do synthetic hair. I added a lot of human hair in various shades, through-out my wig. Human hair is easier to work with, doesn't tangle like synthetic and can be dyed easier.

I've already got multiple people sending me their wigs for me to modify to the OST look and am sending out 4 bone strands already, plus I got others wanting me to make them wigs from scratch, so I'm pretty much up for anything. I have a ton of wool dreads that I've already weathered and lightened.

I'm finishing up the last of my old orders (for Batman stuff) so I can move on a little from it, but costuming is my job so whatever people need, feel free to e-mail me.

Oh and I've always been one to give out any tips and tricks I've developed or learned, so anymore question, fire away.
