My Knight Rider KITT car is nearly complete!

That can't be right... 30000 original miles on a car that's more than 25 years old. My car is five years old and has that much on it and that's extremely low.

Easily done. My father owns a 1966 Corvette with 57,000 original miles.

I've got an 86 Firebird and I've only seen a couple episodes of the show, but I think that car is totally awesome, especially the dash. I'd like to some day convert just the interior of my car into KITT and leave the outside as a red Firebird with no mods. Unfortunately, that's at least 10 years in the future.

Un-Freaken-Real! That Kitt Looks awesome. Makes me wish I had the dvd's of Knight Rider so I could watch it in action again.

AWESOME! :eek :eek :eek

Does it have ejection seats? :)

I can almost hear the voice... :"Yes, Michael."

Incredible. I'm envious :love

Thanks for the great compliments guys.

Yes, this is original mileage. I bought the car in 1999 with 13526 miles on it. It was purchased from the original owner who got it new from the dealer in 1982. He drove it for less then a year, then garaged it for 17
years as both he and his wife were affriad to take it out. he said it was always brought in for it's regualr check ups and occasionally made it around the block every other month.

I drove it for a while when I got it as a pristine stock Trans Am. But only
went to a few car shows here and there. I then garaged it for a few years
myself until i had more funds to begin the conversion. It took a bit longer than planned but as you can see, the wait was worth it. This is something I wanted to do right from the get go.

I still want to go through and redo the interior as this car has leather
and is showing it's age a bit. Mostly wrinkles, not fading. That will be a project for the fall. Time to get him aout and enjoy itwhile the shows are still going on.

Again, I'll do what I can to get some videos up soon. I'll also be taking
some night shots so you can see it lit up as it should be seen.

Thanks again for the compliments. :)

I love that you have a satin finish black for the interior. Every replica I've seen uses high gloss black. I don't think high gloss is the best option for an interior unless you drive only at night.

BEAUTIFUL ride, man! seriously... that's outstanding. the first season was always my favorite. i would love to tackle a KITT project at some point.
