I don't have a close-up, but it's a technique that I found on the RPF. I used a section of clear plastic (from a toy package) and wrapped a piece of wedding tulle (veil material) around both sides. The tulle catches the light from the LEDs, creating the effect but still allows me some visibility. I also have a switch in the helmet that I can push with my tongue so I can turn off the lights if needed.
The sections of the fingers are held together by two sections of fishing line glued along the inside, one on either side of my fingers. To hold them in place, I put a small square of velcro into the tip of each finger and the corresponding side of velcro attached to my inner glove. It's just enough to hold the fingers in place but easy enough to pull off when getting out of the suit.
Good job man!! I was there at Planet Comicon on Saturday and tried to enter with my Mk IV suit, but registration was filled :/ Glad an Iron Man build got to win I was so hoping on being in the contest .... But afterwards I was hungry so we went to Oak Park Mall and caused an uproar with Iron Man being there and all lol
I think I have seen a couple of pics of you in the suit while searching for pics of me. You must have had yours on while I was in the contest (from about 5pm until 9pm, when I finished my interview with Syfy).

Yeah my wife and I were walking around in the main area while the contest was going on lol. Man, we should meet up sometime and maybe I could learn some tips and tricks from you.
Yetar, we should definitely meet up sometime. If you don't have anything going on the weekend of June 27-30, you should come to our local con called Cosplacon. $30 gets you in the entire weekend. You can read more about it here...cosplacon - Home.
Turbo...The abs insert section is actually an individual piece that is velcroed on both sides to stay in place. When I created the lower body section, I chose to do it as one piece (cod + lower back/sides). It fits like a girdle :lol and I release the velcro on one side of the ab insert in order to get in it. Once I'm in, I velcro the insert in place and it's all one cohesive unit. I hope I understand what you are asking. :wacko. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can help you out. If you get a chance, you should check out the Facebook album that I have with all of my build pics.
Yeah man thanks for the reply! My new favorite suit!! I actually found the joint insert material at Home Depot. Any chance you could take a picture of your mounting spots for the abs? I think I am going to go ahead and do this to my new suit tonight. Were you able to sit down at all? Flawless work.
