My Eleventh Doctor costume Series 5 and 6

If its the green great coat, you won't be disappointed. He showed me some of his stitchwork on it and it's beautifully made.

It's NOT the green coat. I actually don't like that look for the Doctor very much and have pretty much made up my mind to NOT cosplay in that costume variation.
It's not some huge surprise, I just can't talk about it yet until I get my tweed back from Magnoli.

Received my authentic S6 boots today. I am very happy with them and I love that rich leather smell coming from them!
Truth be told, I still prefer the look of the S5 boots - I've come quite fond of my close-enough 5 boots so it will take some getting used to wearing these, but I've already started to break them in and I am happy I ordered a half size bigger. My "actual" size would have been too tight.

Here's the Abbyshot tie.
The color is not so bad and although some have said the tie is undersized, I feel it is just right.
I'm hoping to eventually get an even better version of this tie.

It's quite good size-wise i agree, the main problem is the shinyness though, whereas the real bow-tie is quite matte. Nice to see you learned to tie bow-ties :).

I recently returned from a weekend Whovian Cosplay vacation to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA.

We chose these Museums based on the historical and scientific nature of the attractions, which tied in very well with Doctor Who and also made for some fantastic photo opportunities.

Needless to say, our group was stopped dozens of times each day for photos with other visitors and even many Museum employees as well.
One of the highlights of the trip was meeting actor and Director John Favreau, who was visiting the Natural History Museum with his family.

As not to disturb his family time, I kept my interaction with him brief - thanking him for his time and timidly asking him for a photo, which he was more than happy to do. When he noticed my outfit and I said we were Cosplaying Doctor Who, he replied "Very well done!"

We were also happy to be able to locate Bow Bridge in Central Park, which is one of the filming locations for an upcoming Series 7 episode.
Walking around the park in 90-degree weather in full costume was no picnic, so we unfortunately did not have time to make the trek throughout the park and locate other filming spots, but I am very satisfied to have found the bridge.

There are far too many photos and stories to share, so I will post some of my favorites here.

Wow, simply fantastic ensemble of screen accurate clothing, really brilliant even down to the screen accurate boots, i desperately tip my hat off to you (and as of now, that hat is a fez). I have just got 1 microscopic niggle, you should either A: roll the trousers slightly "slimmer" to make the fold slightly slimmer, or cuff the trousers "properly". Because as you can see, the real trousers are quite slimly cuffed, Doctor Who & Torchwood Screencaps @ Sonic Biro: Click image to close this window i'm sorry for pointing it out, but that really is my only niggle with it. It's otherwise completely splendid!

I have removed this entry as I feel I was being harsh and that was not my intention.....I know that I am lucky enough to be able to afford the tweed as well as the other items so I shouldn't judge other people who are here to help us to gain total accuracy by pointing out things we can improve on....

I've thought about getting the jeans altered for a more accurate cuff, HOWEVER, I DO wear these as normal non-cosplay jeans from time to time, so I don't want to have that cuff perminently pulled up like that.
I suppose if anyone has a REAL problem with my jeans, they can go steal me a pair of Matt's actual jeans - because that truly is the next best thing to what I have.

Right on brother ha ha ha. I had a spare pair of G-Star jeans that I did it too but prefered the rolled up look more so I sold them on.

I have some more pictures to share which I will sort out soon enough.
I want to mention that my 10th Doctor friend is RPF member Terrasolo and he is one of my best mates - a totally brilliant and fun guy to go on these Whovian adventures with.
