My Elder

Cheers Fang
I've deleted those other pics I put up the other day as they were dog **** on toast.

I've finished the eyes and dread rings so here are some pics of them added.....sorry they are flash pics but i'm not David Bailey lol.

...Just his bio to do now.

I found it quite difficult to get a good pic of the eyes as i'm quite please with how they came out.....they are completely home made and made very cheap but look effective.....all I have to do now is practice more with the airbrush so I can improve on them but if you look at them closely they have the effect of an expensive glass eye ....not the paint job lol....but the construction in how the eye looks like it has a thick layer of glass over the painted eye.
They are made from one of those little plastic ball things like you get from comercial kids gumball machines...the ones with a little peice of crap inside that the kids are always disapointed with.
The type I used was the type that is half coloured plastic and half clear....I took it apart and cut each section in half....then held each colourd peice against the inside of the mask and drew the eye hole onto each paice with a marker and cut each one slighly larger than the mark......then I put the coloured peice inside the clear peice and marked and cut that to siut....going slightly larger than the colured peice......then I simply painted the coloured peice, sealed it and stuck it inside the clear peice with epoxy putty.
So all in all they cost me about 50 pence.
Obviously someone with better painting skills than me would do a MUCH better job.
If anyone is interested ...next time I make a pair i'll take some pics and do a tutorial.
Thanks for looking

Lee

Hey Lee,
The new owner should be very happy with this one and just goes to show what you can if you put your mind to it.....Eyes look good mate and so do the dreads, Keep up the good work as you seem to be getting better and better.

I've managed to get a tripod.....just got to wait for some natural light or get some tungsten balanced film lol.....but it still beats using the flash.
Sorry about the crappy background of curtains and radiator......

Thanks for looking.
