How would you adjust/ hide joint placement for a costume (Monoco, CO:E33) much taller than you?

I'm building a Monoco gestral costume from Clair Obscur, and I want him to be full height, which according to the game files seems to be around 2 m (6'6") tall.
I'm 6'0", and I was hoping for some advice of how to disguise where my armpits and knees land compared to where his model places them.

I'm sure I can cover the area fairly well considering he's got a lot of fluff and gear around the armpits, but I'm not sure how to do the mechanics so that I can still maintain a good range of motion when moving his arms.

Does anyone have any tips or builds they've seen that do this well? I've seen a lot of large cosplays in person, but haven't really dug into their construction. I did look at a few Hulk builds on here, but they're much more latex rubber, and closer to general human proportions, albeit huge. Monoco has really lengthened arms and legs compared to his torso.

Just as a starting point I would make the breastplate wider and if necessary taller. Your arms exit the sides of the breastplate and enter the character's arms about the location of the biceps. The character arms would not rigidly attach to the breastplate, would pivot as normal at the shoulder but your arm inside would move the arm - just at a lower point. This would not provide the full range of arm motion but close. The "feathers" could easily disguise the arm/breastplate connection. This connection could be a fabric tube covered in feathers. I will be interested in your approach.

If you make the upper arms large, you can hold your arms in a natural bent-arm posture. Note how this raise the position of your hand versus when your arm hangs straight down. This could position your hand just below the character elbow. Moving your wrist moves the lower arm. There are "gripper" designs that let you curl and extend your fingers to curl and extend the character fingers.
