Re: My 2014 Tron Legacy "Evil Tron" Suit Build
Hey jjs,
I've talked with David About the Tron Suits Prior to doing mine, as his leather work is FANTASTIC, I actually own a Batman TDKR Suit. But he will NOT sell them until hes ready to build them again, if a Sequal Comes out ect.
No on the EL Tape part, they are fragile, only in the section with the connections, I've found the wire slip out easily even with a good solder joint, so i put them like this to ease the tension on the cables and have some predictable slack.
Now the most important question here, the VELCRO. I would not reccommend doing this, unless its only for a 1 time use. The velcro, once heated with body heat from wearing the suit around, will fall off. I even reinforced it with contact cement for leather.... no good. I used the lamenant tiles to keep the EL tape flat and form fitting, its light and rigid, so it keeps the suit looking perfect no matter where im at, that worked great... especially for getting the suit on and off without ripping cables out, i just pulled the tiles off which took the lights with them.
Also the Helmet was made by someone on the RPF called Crimson490, hes a BADASS, and he actually makes 3 helmets, the one hes currently on is the BlackGuard from Tron. VERY AWESOME.
Let me know if you have any other questions, as this thing was a BEAST
