movies you like that everyone else hates

Tron: Legacy- Absolutely love it. I understand the complaints, but I've always been into Tron.
The Spirit
Malibu's Most Wanted
The Thing (Newest one)
Lords of Dogtown
Green Lantern
Transformers (The first live action one)
Machete

...Paint your wagon, apparently if you're under a certain age you aren't supposed to love musicals even as fan as they can be.
I absolutely loathe most musicals, but Paint Your Wagon is one I really enjoy...until Clint Eastwood starts singing, that is. Not that he's a bad singer, he's just not a particularly good singer, and the song they stuck him with ("I Talk to the Trees"???) is just...blecch. Conversely, one of my favorite moments in the movie is Lee Marvin walking through town singing "Wand'rin Star".

:lol

Clint Eastwood singing is just so wrong on many different levels! Unless he's singing "I'm gonna kick your ass" I don't want to hear it. ;)

Superman returns

I think it gets rough criticism because of the expectations we all had for it. I enjoyed it as well and see it as an homage to the Donner films.

A fav of mine that everybody hates is eight legged freaks. I know its not a good movie but i enjoy it.

Oh, come on people. Tron, Event Horizon, Ghostbusters 2 as movies hated by everyone ? No way. :D

Now, I'd like to say " Daredevil ". I thought Afflec was just perfect, the suit was spot on ( how many movies can you say that was the case ? ) and there's some good moments in int. Yeah, the vilains were just a shame... but I enjoyed the movie anyway. :)

I also liked Superman 3, but that's because of the supercomputer who can defeat Sup' and turn people into Borgs. :p

The Incredible Hulk (the second one, just to be clear)
Green Lantern, I thought it was just as good as Thor
Tron and Tron2 I don't know why they get panned so often
John Carter..really was a GREAT movie and a good adaptation to the book.

The Spirit didn't do well because sadly a lot of folks wanted a gritty and violent movie and Eisner's comics were always pretty clean cut with characters that were either pure good or pure evil.

I was told that afterward. I really took the movie pretty much at face value with it's over the top noir themes, and ridiculous things like Sam Jackson wearing badly glued on fake muttonchops, the Nazi uniforms, the clone thing that was just a single hopping foot with a face attached, and Silken Floss in general. I love Scarlett pretty much no matter what.

Punisher Warzone! Love this movie, As a Huge Punisher fan I am very biased I know but I have never understood the hate the film gets from comic book movie fans. It is by far the closest to the comics interpretation of the character and Ray Stevenson was the perfect Frank Castle! Even if I wasn't a Punisher fiend it was also an extremely Fun action flick.

Just saw this thread and had to chime in... the star who should never, ever sing again is Pierce Brosnan. He was wretched in Mama Mia... made Clint's performance seem almost Tony worthy in comparison. Well, maybe that's overstating but...:sick

Oh, that's easy.

"Signs"

The water plot point doesn't irk me because I believe it to be related to "War of the Worlds" in that it's the bacteria that killed 'em.
