movies you like that everyone else hates

I thought of another one: Last Action Hero.

Andy

One of the films that got me interested in the concept of blurring the line between fiction and reality, along with John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness and Wes Craven's New Nightmare.

May as well chime in, but with the thought that who cares realy what others think of my or your or anyone's taste in movies. I refuse to like a film because it is expected of me, and exploitative stuff can be the most fun. And, I am not sure everyone "hates" these choices, but if so, tough. :)

Remake of Conan the Barbarian
John Carter. Great fun.
AI (though I dont think I can ever see it again. The abandonment of the child was almost too much to watch, and I was really depressed for weeks after seeing the movie. And I am not a big fan of kids. I still have not opened the DVD, and may never see it again.
Pandorum
Event Horizon
Aliens 3 and 4. 3 is my absolute favorite. 4 is a guilty pleasure, probably partially because of W. Ryder. :). The director I admire greatly too, but he is not as cute, I am guessing.
Death Proof. My feelings are that this wasnt a fan or critic favorite, but hey.
Deep Blue Sea. I think this film is totally fun.
Machete. What can I say..."Machete don't text."
Robot Monster. "I must, and yet...I cannot. I cannot, and yet I must."
Giant Gila Monster. Everyone is a drunk driver in this movie, and I keep hoping the crippled little girl will get eaten.
Matix II and III. I love all the Matrix films. My wife still hates them based on the sudden ending to the second one. She still hates the last episode of The Prisoner. Ah well :)
Cowboys and Aliens.

The Spirit - nobody else found it funny. I never read the graphic novel, and I wasn't expecting Sin City 2 like some people apparently were, so the stupid gimmicks made me crack up every scene

The Spirit didn't do well because sadly a lot of folks wanted a gritty and violent movie and Eisner's comics were always pretty clean cut with characters that were either pure good or pure evil.

Garbage Pail Kids. I loved it as a kid and oddly enough my parent had no issues with it or the trading cards lol. Paint your wagon, apparently if you're under a certain age you aren't supposed to love musicals even as fan as they can be.
