I have too many costumes planned this year already, but perhaps next year! I'd love a Yellow ranger costume, but I'd settle for pink if I had too. Its good to know you're open to the idea of making one though.

This forum has always been snobby when it comes to anything Power Rangers. I hope younger members, in quantities, can change that.

I dont see that, there just isn't as many people here who watched power rangers vs star wars.

I love power rangers, but I'm a minority fan with this series.

That forum will tell you like it is though if you get out of line and witch hunt if you tick off a member off about something
they are a tight family which has its pros and cons.

I agree with guntehkala, I hope it changes. it has been changing, as someone who is relativly young (5 years old in 93 when the show hit) a large percentage of new prop makers look back on the show fondly. give it a bit, it'll be more accepted here. As much as star wars? not a chance. But less snob like?Yeah.

I wish my friend could hear all of this, he slaved very hard on some of those props you guys are fondly remembering. I think he put more effort into some of those things then they ever needed and thanks to Saban, he was treated like a slave most of the time. It's really sad to think about at times, there are people who love this stuff so much, and work so hard to make it a reality, but the people who pay them just see workers and nothing more, they never see the talent or the dedication to the art form.

I heard some of the things from the original power rangers. I went to anime expo last year because they had a power ranger day. The cast would talk about how they were treated and all the problems they had off set. Actors were treated like slaves as well...Also, I never knew the green ranger aka tommy hated jason the red ranger so much. I guess they really cant stand each other

That's why I said I HOPE THE NEW GENERATIONS will change that. Most of the people, here are middle-age Star wars people who refuse to use the word "Cosplay". The new Generation of prop-builders will replace them, along with a bigger variety of interests such as Power Rangers, Japanese pop culture and other imports which have influenced US pop-culture. In fact, it is already happening, and very slowly spilling into this forum.

Hey peeps - forgot about this thread being here - thought I titled it something different - LoL
Any who - should be DONE in the next two weeks or so... Had some trouble getting materials in and what not, but all in all, the pieces are almost done, running foam this week, vac-bagging the armor next week, and then hopefully full assemble

Yea I know Jason has personally told me, as have others on the former staff, that Saban was nothing more than a financial guy who would throw money at you before he shook your hand and said "good job."

Why does david yost never show up to these things? I was looking forward to see him at the convention but he back out it looks like.
Also, I read a few threads at the rangerboard, one of the makers over there does an amazing job with the helmets, but it looks like he has a faulty past of not coming through it looks like..His gf did some pretty cool helmets as well
