Re: Ninja Turtle Replica Hero Costume - New Pics last page, 10/11/10

Ya know, the total hours isn't too too bad... Its the revisions that are kicking me in the sack and waiting for materials. Because it's blistering cold across most of the country, no one wants to ship me my foam for fear of it freezing, and being set back by a couple of bad batches, being double-dipped for product, that's the stuff that's the nail in the coffin.

Heh, that's almost always how it goes with these types of projects. Do some
work, then realize the material you need is half a country away. It'll sharpen
your project managerial skills as much as your sculpting skills ...

Regardless, lookin' great, keep 'er up! Can't wait to see the big suitup. :thumbsup

Dont forget the Animatronics. (making the mouth open, and eyes blink, etc...)

Re: TMNT Hero Suit - Video up on PG 5 - 12-20-10

I just picked my jaw off the floor after going though every page of this topic, I'm loving it so much that right now I have my eyes on a mannequin I plan to buy to maybe do my own.

The sculpt is fantastic & those prop eyes look great.

I can't wait to see one of your heads fully painted with a bandana.

Where did you get the Part 3 Donatello Head? Are you using that for size reference

No that's actually a repair we're doing for PropArchives.com.

My head was actually dead on with the Donatello head, which was REALLY shocking; The TMNT heads in the first movie were a tiny bit smaller than the other two movies as they used cables moreso than servos like in the last two movies, but with the differences accounted for, and the hands-on reference I've had from holding pieces and talking to the original suit fabricators, we're within 1/16th of an inch all the way around - it's something I'm uber proud of - and I don't say that too often,

Oh wow that is amazing, So do you know about what the dimensions are of the movie heads cheek to cheek front to back etc...? Obviously Michaelangelo has smaller cheeks so his will be a bit different but overall?
