Trying to get back into the groove to finish the pulsars. Figured id try to do something with these molds i made of Rustys Deatomizer shells . I've had this "limited shelf life" High temp resin for Oh about 3 years now and figured id see if its still any good . Anyhoo, i've molded it up in sections so i can "adjust" it to my liking and make a new master. Ill post the process here. Im am lengthening the front end, reshape the grip, lowering it and re-adjust the angle. Lower, shorten and thicken the side pods. Shrink and lower the rear pod. Also going to replace the center body, It needs to be tad wider to properly fit the barrel or its going too be fragile. An issue i had with rustys. Basically redoing the whole thing...lol.

I got all the parts cleaned up today (minus the rear pod) and mostly ready to glue the parts halves together so i can finish shaping. Also did the first reshape of the grip. Im waiting for a new motor/pump coupler for my vacuum pump so i cant do anything resin/silicone wise until it comes in. Hopefully monday, so i can get back on the Pulsar.

Very nice!

On a related note, are you planning to finish that Neuralyzer build anytime in the near future? I’ve still got mine in parts in a box and was hoping to follow your progress for inspiration!

Ya i need to get back on it. I think i only need to machine a stop for it for when it goes up and figure out the switch . I want to use a switch like the original instead of the magnet/reed switch that came with the kit.

I need to lower the top tube into the middle tube and the front end needs to be thinned so the top tube is lower. Also need to reshape the rear tank. Its why the slots look wrong and the front grip slots need to be wider. Baby steps......

Still need to do some bondo work on the rear upper section of the grip and top most section and machine the tubes to size and do the final slot machining but the body is getting close . Its been too friggin cold for either. Hopefully tomorrow. I'm pretty stoked on how this is turning out..

Well i have the body mostly done, unfortunately the front end snapped off. TBH i was suprised it didnt happen sooner and already had a plan for when it happened. It was for the best because i didnt really like the way that area sat , i wanted to lower it. I did and it broke again....lol . Doesnt matter, it will be fixed once the middle tube is epoxied to the rear half and front piece. Also had to do a little switch up. The top tube seemed too thin to me so i got a larger diameter tube. Looks way better and closer to the original. That required me cutting the front top piece in half and widening it and again it matches way better to ref. The top rear swooping part was made higher and with deeper indents on the side of it for the tanks that go there. Also reshaped the whole rear part of the grip and did final shaping on the rear most section with the slots. Pretty happy with how its going so far even the top tube has a slight rake to it just like the original and the grip looks way better.

I also machined the middle tube for clearancing that acordian tube near the trigger and also a hole for where the trigger will go. I also had to machine the middle of the center tube thinner and with a few slots to make it easier to cut in half once its molded. Ill mold the whole thing then cut the gun in half to mold the inner side of the halves.

The shabang is epoxied together. Need to do some filling of seams next and need to make an insert for the front to bring it down to the size that the barrel will be. Then i can bondo that area and blend it all in.
