Merr-Sonn Power 5 blaster build

Ever since finding my old Airsoft Mauser-gone-DL44, parts of which were poorly don and broken, I've been wanting to build a Power 5 blaster. All while looking for parts for the ribbed tubing along its sides, I've started building a flash-hider for it.
It's made of a plastic bottle neck (with a small metal funnel inside for reinforcement, the slope of which didn't match, hence the plastic bottle), and part of a garden hose.
Consider it a start...

Ok, so after some rethinking and some research, I decided to completely redo the flash-hider with different parts. Definetely looks more like it (still not screen-accurate, but a lot better) Even the dimensions are pretty much exact.

I didn't even know this gun existed until a very generous person sent me on in last years RPF Secret Santa exchange. It was awesome because not only did I receive a rare prop, but I learned new things about it because of it ! Good luck with your build !

Nice parts you have found!

If you don't accept criticism and tips, don't read on:
There should be only one knurled section, with no space in-between. There should, however, be a ring like that but doubled in thickness further down between the knurled section and the scalloped section.
If you would go for super-accuracy, there should also be a small fillet at the base of the cone. You could sculpt that with epoxy putty with a cylinder as sculpting tool. The fillet would also make more bond between the knurled section and the cone... and it could be used to hide other glue residue in the joint.

Heh, thanks! I know what the original flash hider looks like. But with the parts I had to use, no matter how hard I tried, aligning the 2 ribbed pieces 100% was impossible. So I xhose this stylistic variant. As for the base of the cone, I'm thinking about adding sort of a fillet like you described. Will probably also add a thumbscrew. I'm just wondering what kind of paint I should use for maximum durability. Thinking about enamel, maybe, but not sure if adherance will be good on plastic...

I cut up a plastic funnel, drilled the holes and glued it to 2 plastic bottle caps.
