The practical suit's mask looks like it's a cosplay piece without a face shell. But I'm sure they'll be cleaning that up with the CGI, and at least Spidey's not gonna look overly CGI since there's a real suit involved

We've only seen this one scene's pictures, it's entirely possible that this mask is only for a scene where it needs to be remove-able and will have a faceshell/more form fitting mask later on

Damn Ken! the 3D spider is looking damn good. I was wondering if any progress has been made on the mechanical lenses at the moment?

Yeah, You have to use photoshop to view and edit the file

What if you do not own photoshop? Perhaps there is a way to convert the file to a more universally readable file type?

Ken literally has a JPEG file link on the first page. You can't manipulate the files to remove weblines or whatever if you don't have Photoshop because Photoshop documents obviously just work with Photoshop.

You can get a one week free trial of Photoshop by going to their website and making an adobe id. One week should be more than enough one to manipulate the file.

Yeah I have photoshop, i guess its because i had to extract the file haha but its all good, ive been messing with the suit myself for the past couple of days. Thanks for the answers though! Im new to this and it's very interesting seeing you guys work as a team to get this suit down to nearly perfect. Really excited to see the 3d print of the spider logo!

Also, has anyone taken note that the lenses seem to be nearly flat and flush with the webs? I see cosplayers make the lenses really thick and it always looks off

The RPC Studio's CW Spidey lenses seem to be flat with the face shell. You might wanna have a look at that :)

I think I've figured out a decent solution. If you make your own faceshell (not too difficult with Gimpees Foam Files here on the RPF) you can make it a little thicker and cut deeper for the eye recesses. That way the lenses will sit flush with the shell itself.
