If you get fed up with the air drying it out constantly try and find a hobby lobby they have pretty cheap oil based clay comes in like 2-5-10 lbs i think the 10lb goes for 14. I believe it's called plasteline made by vanaken. I learned the hard way too but hey that's part of the fun, it took me in total 10 months to sculpt it was like month 5 and I came home the whole sculpt fell apart due to heat, but had her back in no time. Good luck have fun
Really? I will look into the oil based clay, got a Hobby Lobby pretty close to me. I have gotten a pretty consistant seal using liquid nail, i need to uploadsome pics, but it is helping me create some natural textures and sealing the sculpture at the same time. I have a test sculpture using the same method, and when my Ulrta cal comes in I will test the combination of clay and liquid nails with a release agent to see how it turns out. However, I will be using a different type of clay if I do another sculpture because having to seal it and watch the conditions in which i sculpt just adds steps, it is cheap however, the clay (from hobby lobby) was like $5 on sale, and a big containiner of liquid nails was $2. Including the foam head and a roll of duck tape, I have been able to create a sculpture for about $15. not bad considering....Lol
