Does disney release viewership numbers, or are those videos purely speculative?
I like female Mando butts and I can not lie. You can be a dogface, I'll never sigh (or know). You other Mando Brothers can't deny,........ When a girl walks in with a shiny bright helmet,........etc.

I'm not thrilled with how the first episode of the season went. For the longest time Hollywood seems to be struggling with story writing. The first two seasons of Mandalorian were great. so I was thrilled that there was going to be more Star Wars with BoBF, Obi-Wan, Andor and Asoka. The first three were ok. I guess you can't hit a home run every time. They explained a proposed story line and I guess it did that, but I definitely wasn't wowed by that.
I suppose all the good writers have passed on, and the new ones are just regurgitating what the old ones wrote, or rely on special effects to impress the audience and think that's going to draw them in. Remember the morphing 3d technology that was invented in the 90s? Right after that producers started releasing movies that featured that. Cobble together a script around it in a couple of days and "tadaa" you have a film.
I don't work in Hollywood, but I've read a lot of stories and viewed videos on how poorly the writers are treated. They have a script, but the director, or actors have a problem with it, and they need a re-write in a few minutes. I've watched "Star Trek-The Center Seat" and I was shocked at how the last minute every thing is, and am amazed at how, most of the time, they released a pretty entertaining film. Yes, they weren't perfect by any stretch, but still entertaining.

The whole thing was made up for this and was never mentioned in any of the books. I think it's goofy. I would guess that you can remove your helmet with your own clan or, at the least, your mate. I can tell you female Mandos would not go for the keeping your helmet on thing.

The whole helmet thing has been misinterpreted by many fans. It was never said that a member of their particular group had to keep their helmets at all times, 24-7. I believe that the exact wording of the rule was something along the lines of not ever removing their helmets in front of strangers or something to that effect. Of course, we never see any members of Mando's ever take their helmets off in front of each other and I believe that some writers this season have even forgotten the original wording of that rule and have gone with the common fan belief.
The current viewership ratings are not going to sink the show any time soon. My expectations were certainly higher after Andor, and I’ve found myself having to temper those somewhat (!!!) to enjoy the show’s entertainment. But I do enjoy it. With more child-like eyes, I’m okay with it’s issues. ugh episode 1! Yes the show is on a different caliber but the wonder still works for me. I‘ll suspend disbelief for a dose of shiny feel-good as I’m easily amused
