IMO the prop department used a real Sedgley. They‘re relatively easy to find unlike something like a Bergmann, the rarity of which would necessitate scratch building a lookalike. Also, if you look at the blaster from the front the flip down mechanism to load the barrel is intact, and the bottom of the handle is recessed and retains the lanyard ring. I’m not sure little things like that would be included on the blaster if they simply used the Sedgley as design inspiration. It’s too bad we don’t have a clear shot of the right side of the gun to see if the mfg stampings are present.
I got a mint condition Sedgley and really want to convert it now. This is an awesome feeling flare gun! it kind-of fits perfectly in your hand and isn't front heavy like I thought it would be.
I'm temped to disassemble and mold this too, for the large separate parts.
I'll take some good pics with my Nikon asap. I can see the milling marks where the cartridges go!

Note the rear slotted screw stuck at the same angle as the prop, the bump on the front angled under portion, the taper to the barrel (without the mohawk) and the recessed butt with ring. I think they used a real flare as a base at this moment
here is my sedgley, pictured next to a cast of the E-11 scope made for the special editions in the 90s, that's a 1 inch scope ring for size comparisons. Not the cone, mind you, the ring body. I believe they used scope parts from Jedi in 1983 except for the tip - Anyways, the front barrel and the dangly plate in between the legs of the flare pistol come off very easily... one bolt (open in new tab for full photo)

Nice score. And thats going to make a nice replica of that blaster. I will do the best i can to help you get answers. But i don't want to get anyones hopes up. Aside from the nda, it is to my knowledge that there are absolutely no real guns on these shows. Not even hero props. Everything is made in house. I assume they saw that gun and said looks great replicate it.

If anything, it will test my machining skills. The barrel nut is my only big issue. the rest I can pull off with hand tools, grinder and a drill press probably.
That scope looks like someone physically made that but also looks like some stupid military grade (aka cheapest bidder) perioscopic sight

I think it’s safe to say that Chris isn’t doing the blaster before you, I am his partner and I help him source all his parts and references for his blaster projects. Are you still wanting to do an Aluminum SE-14r run? Cause if so that would be amazing and I would love to help.All machined aluminium with my usual handmade and carefull fabrication and cast or resin printed grips.
I'm also really busy right now but this is something that I really really want to do this year

Yes, that is the original conceptual drawing from Paul Ozzimo the Senior Art Director on The Mandalorian. He also designed Boba Fett’s new EE-3 Blaster Rifle from The Mandalorian/BoBF.
Anyways there are definitely some differences from the Concept Drawing to the finished product the Prop Master made including the absence of that tapered ridge ontop of the existing Sledgley barrel you mentioned, and some of the details drawn on the lower grip.
