I did enjoy Avatar.
I tend to be very critical of most films, but in this case I just went along for the ride. Yes, the story is derivative, most characters are cardboard cutouts, and some of the character motivation and logic is missing from the Theatrical release. But none of it really bothered me as much as the lapses in other films.
I'd rate it as a very competently made popcorn movie.
