So, I waited; never cared to catch it in the theaters.
Anyway, it's on demand now and it was late, I figured I'd watch it.
Really? This is what had everyone so amped up? People wanted to die after seeing this thing because the real world no longer had meaning? :rolleyes
Oh' man did this thing suck! Giant, gay blue kittens??
My bad if this thing has already been bashed to death, loved, whatever. I don't spend much time in the OT.
I just had to exorcise this thing in writing. It was either that or slaughter a lamb to wash myself clean.

Yeah, the story was kind of derivative and preachy but all the same it was still fun movie to watch especially in 3D in a theater. (Personally, I'd say the story was much better than the Clash of the Titans remake but I'm hard pressed to think of something that's NOT better than that)
I am NOT one to love on 3D stuff mind you. I view it as a complete gimmick 99% of the time but Avatar was clearly designed from the start to be a 3D movie and the visuals on a big screen in 3D truly were stunning in my opinion. For lack of a better way of putting it, it felt natural in 3D...
That was the best part IMHO and while the movie is still watchable on a home tv (I rented it once after it came out), you're going to naturally lose that one thing that really set it apart.
I'm still debating on if I liked it enough to add it to my library but I don't think it was nearly as bad as some make it out to be.
My wife put it best as we were watching it. She said, "You'd make me watch the blue kitten people, but Dancing with the stars is too much for you??? I was left defenseless against such logic.

I really enjoyed it in 2D and 3D. I loved the story, characters, script and immersive world....it's a shame you didn't, but get over yourself and move on.
