M41A Pulse Rifle 3d print.

Having hardly any experience with cad design software I hit my first hurdle so i decided on the basic Tinkercad and all the PR files from the interwebs I could lay my hands on. Anyways I managed to print a rough Spas cage/Remington 870 prototype/mock-up with working 'pump' and I'm just printing a polished second version....I found working cad files for the M1921 Thompson machine gun which I have started adapting into the later version Thompson needed including the modified grip, I have discarded/simplified most of the inner workings of the gun to suit. The shroud is giving me headache after headache due to the poor quality files available but where there's a will there's a way......Sean.

The more refined Pulse Rifle spas cage/Remington with metallic rack action , I used a spring loaded ball bearing seated in the side of the Remington bolt and a steel bar with two holes drilled a inch or so apart for it to slide along giving a satisfying CH CHUNK racking sound. I'm going to remodel the bolt with a few more aesthetic details, the carrier where the shells are inserted needs modelling then it's on to the Thompson. The last two pics are the PR I first 3d printed with the new spas cage/Remington fitted, it is very old split up print split up from thingiverse by Jace and is a dog to work with due to escalating/poor resolution on the original file it's a 'non functioning ' model with a solid shroud.

Awesome work!
I'm printing out two versions from Thingiverse, both are non-functional. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses. Your files seem to all fit with no cutting/grinding or gobs of body filler.

thanks fella, yeah the greeen shroud in the pics is a solid Pulse Rifle from Thingiverse by Jace, the resolution was really bad and needed loads of filling and sanding..

Fantastic work!.. ive printed a few parts to this but im having trouble with the spas cage, Looks like you used tinkercad. I cant get your version to load into tinkercad cause it says the mesh is too high and i need to reduce it. Im trying to split it up because i have a small print bed. Any help from more experienced 3d'ers would be greatly apreciated. thanks
