Here’s the new clean version from TXQ. Still need to get a pommel.

Didn’t realize this version was so short compared to the V2. Cant decide to weather it or not, I kind of like the clean ROTJ look. Do we know for sure the BOBF version is weathered down?

Has anybody seen this?

Auction for one of the stunts from Mando Season 2. Also some other nice pieces in the auction from TPM et TFA. Who's going to make a run based on this stunt now?!
That doesn't make sense. At what point would they even need a rubber stunt? His belt hanger was the pixel combat stunt, wasn't it? In fact, the only point we see it on his belt is when a hero is needed...

I'm wondering if this made as a "Just in case" prop, and was never actually screen used, but possibly "official?" That's my only guess if it is legit in any capacity.
Judging by what the site has had in the past and tried to pass off as real… I don’t event waste the time theorizing. Once you spot the tells on it you know exactly what it is and exactly what the did

Pretty sad that this kind of stuff goes on..

What I'm seeing here (from a brief glimpse) is a cast off a Rylo saber here (you can see the set screws that Rylo use to keep the grip section closed as well as the particular emitter construction showing that the master opened up). So, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that they cast a Rylo to make a stunt.

As to the question of maybe they " made as a "Just in case" prop"... I would be shocked if they didn't cast the hero and produce rubber stunts. That's step one for any production shooting prep. They're not going to gear up for a stunt scene (which is what Luke's entrance is) and not have rubber lightsabers on hand to protect the actors if the director needs for them to do some sort of stunt work that having a metal prop would endanger them on. Imagine if on the day of shooting the director said "I'd like to have Luke do a flip" and then the crew said "Oh, he can't because all we have is metal hilts and he can't jump or fall with a foot long piece of aluminum in his hand." So, from my perspective, knowing what we know about the hero, it makes all the sense in the world that the stunt props would be rubber castings of a Rylo--and that's exactly what this is!

cast over internal armature.... I wonder if thats just... a rod.

Did the Mando prop have that set screw in the grip?
