The belt hanger, yescast over internal armature.... I wonder if thats just... a rod.
Did the Mando prop have that set screw in the grip?

Second time I’ve seen a resin stunt go up for auction
I see zero evidence of any resin prop on screenI have no idea if it's legit or not, but without further info from someone linked to The Mandalorian production, it doesn't pass the smell test for me.
Fist of all: the web site seems very "basic" for an auction house handling large $$$ items, which includes the "first" replica Time Machine DeLorean ever made.
Second: The saber description says, "This incredible piece of Star Wars memorabilia has never been offered for auction. This piece was acquired from the largest collector of Star Wars memorabilia in the United States" ...isn't that still Steve Sansweet? So (if the statement is true) it is either Sansweet's auction, or Sansweet must certainly know the owner if they are the "largest collector in the U.S." If anyone here still has connections with Rancho Obi-Wan, you could check with Steve.
Third: There's no C.O.A. mentioned or history/provenance provided. It could be production made, but not screen used.
Fourth: Why would there be a resin saber belt hanger made for Luke's brief Mandalorian TV appearance, NOWADAYS? "Resin" could mean almost any type of non metal thing, I guess. But there are MULTIPLE lightweight aluminum replicas of that saber readily available, and there are prop makers here at TheRPF who have connections with LucasFilm and have already supplied items for TV and film production.
Fifth: The custom made "museum quality" display is garish IMO, with an AI generated or shopped picture of ROTJ Luke on a large replica Kenner figure card. Not how one would think that a screen used saber would be presented.
Sixth: It's not even 5 years since the Mandalorian "The Rescue" episode was aired. How would this prop be away from Disney/Lucasfilm be in the wild, already?
Neither do I. And i was on set a majority of the time.I see zero evidence of any resin prop on screen
I’m not saying they didn’t do it, but I haven’t seen anything but metal on screenNeither do I. And i was on set a majority of the time.
I saw nothing but metal myself.I’m not saying they didn’t do it, but I haven’t seen anything but metal on screen
I don’t want people yelling at me thinking I’m not saying it’s legit lol
Man that’s what made the Mando saber jump out at me, it’s the first time we’ve seen a close enough recreation of one of the classics! (I guess the rogue one counts) I wish they had re-used one of the real ones for something after Jedi.Gathering photos from this thread for a project in the worksz. Reading old threads…
Could you imagine if they used the v3 for this scene?
Which is funny, because video games have used for years, the V3. Recently, Battlefront (DICE) used the Master Replica V2.Man that’s what made the Mando saber jump out at me, it’s the first time we’ve seen a close enough recreation of one of the classics! Did we ever get a full version of this where the v2 isn’t cut off?Which is funny, because video games have used for years, the V3. Recently, Battlefront (DICE) used the Master Replica V2.
