Interest Luke v2 Lightsaber. Unibody design

SInce the v2 lever doesn't slot into the sidebar like an actual graflex clamp, you should be able to fit the clamp over the pommel and then clamp it down after it's installed.

Yes, I've already modeled that. I'm waiting on a prototype to be cast. After that, I'll be offering cast blanks

I'm definitely in for the shared stunt version!!!

If you unscrew the pin all the way (which you'd have to do to replace it with the long V2 lever) Graflex clamps actually open up quite a bit-- easily enough to slap on the saber. You'll just have to file down the interior tabs.
While that is true, once you get it back on you would be unable to screw it down enough for it to fit firmly over the area that it is supposed to. Also I have tried on my saber and there is no way that it can fit over the pommel. Not trying to be a buzzkill but I am genuinely interested about what the plan is on these.

So, I just did this with one of Roman's replica clamps. I opened up the clamp, slid it over a pommel, closed it up again. No damage to clamp.

Roman clamps are steel, so they are more strong and flexible, vintage one are brass with plating, they are too much delicate in my opinion, i would not to open vintage one in that way

Roman's clamps are nickle plated brass just like the real Graflex (or chrome plated if you wanted that option from him). When I changed levers I did need to have the clamp off and squeeze the band together to screw in the lever all the way with the square part of the screw in the way. Here's my clamp off my weathered OB1 from Roman on my V2, it will eventually go on my TFA Graflex since it is a No Name version and my OB1 and V2 will get the named clamp off the Roman Graflex run, just had to put a clamp on the V2 (2nd run) once I had it painted, but it shows the brass where worn (sanded) down.

Read more his website maybe? it says "steel construction", if u bought obi kit and u have brass clamp, good for you, but people can buy clamp as single piece too, and that is steel. Period. Only recently u can preorder brass one.

No. Vintage clamps are also steel. The tubes are plated brass, but the clamps are steel

So just to squash this clamp thing. When I was building mine, I got my pommel accidentally stuck on permanently (when I drilled the hole for the mystery chunk it fused the two together somehow) so I simply undid my REPLICA clamp enough to slide it over, put it in place, and tighten it back up.
THEN when I replaced it with a genuine vintage clamp, I removed the replica one the same way and did the same thing to the real one. It's not a big deal.

Are you 100%sure? Im pretty confident entire flashgun are brass, but anyway if im wrong i leart somthing new :)
I can confirm, real clamps are steel as they rust. Also there are usulay unplayed patches on the inside where you can see that it is steel.

But how did you unscrew the lever while it was on the saber? Didn't the little square piece keep it from turning?
