Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber

I prefer an all copper neck.

I don't think ill do a 1inch hole for the emitter, but it will have to accommodate a specific blade. and the clamps ive talked with roman on getting them done. ill check with him if its better to just include them in the run and ship together. I live near him and I could just pick them up directly.

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber

Would there be any way to offer two end caps then? One with the correct size hole that matches the actual prop and one for the electronic group?

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber

Intersted in one depending on price......but copper is the way to go ....let it age (patina) on its own....along with the aluminum hilt.....

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber

Copper upper windvane, and Roman's clamp supplied, with Graflex name and pre-drilled with the three holes, would be great. People could then paint and foil to match the prop or keep as is. The stunt is so rough, I think I'd rather have an idealized version for myself.

As long as we're talking wish lists, I think I'd also rather see an idealized version of the stunt saber. I keep referring to the picture ThomasBond posted and thinking how incredible that saber looks.

Found this online. Thought it was cool to see what one could look like.

While we're chiming in, I'd like to put my hat into the accuracy ring. I'd prefer aluminum neck to then be painted copper, but a copper neck wouldn't be a deal breaker. I would prefer a pommel that is held in place with a set screw ala the original, too.

Re: Luke Shared stunt Version Lightsaber

I'm in accuracy mode as well... I Don't mind the copper neck cuz it can be painted or left...

Of course wouldn't SUPER accurate have a seam line?

If it was a casting, with the seam line and rings that don't quite line up, then I'd want all aluminum, 2 piece - hilt and separate pommel, for super accurate. The drawing done on the other page with threaded copper piece looks nice and machined I want a copper neck to leave bare. It would be nice to have set screws to hold the pommel and up on the emitter to hold an aluminum tube blade. Not interested in electronics. Here's close-ups of my Starkiller V2 pommel, they should match the shared stunt since both are cast from the same mold, just the V2 was cleaned up on a lathe.
