No, I took it apart and spray painted the emitter and main body. Covered the mid section. And scraped away the edges afterwards. I used an aerosol paint: Humbrol satin acrylic spray, without primer, and later when I'm done, I'll use an acrylic varnish from the same UK brand.

Ah well... Friday and no show for Canada. :(

That is assuming I was in the first batch (as I paid immediately...)

Torture.

I'm near Toronto and mine showed up on Wednesday. Can't wait to get started on it.

Dan, can you confirm the remaining sabers went out today?

Yes, they went out around noon. Also, if you want to get a quicker reply from me, sending me a PM is a much better option then posting in this thread.

Saber was delivered up today!

I was in the 'no problem' pool and its in MUCH better condition than I thought! Hardly anything noticeable!

Everything looks GREAT! Just need a tad bit of sanding on the pommel.

Thanks for your efforts, Dan! Great saber!

I'm very sorry Anakin Stark. Due to the pick-up of another hardly wanted item (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=227507) I have to pass on my spot here...If there are any issues in getting it sold, call me back. I hope that's okay for you :-/

:lol

"If there are any issues in getting it sold..."

That made me smile.

It's like throwing blood in the water & wondering if the sharks will bite.

Congrats on your Golden Gun:thumbsup

Dan, do you know how far up the rod the bearing is supposed to go? I plan on setting it in place with a little superglue but I can't figure out how to measure the distance between that and the emitter correctly while it's dropped inside the saber.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

I'm not positive Dan would have cut each rod 100% exactly the same length so it may be different for each person.

Here's what I did.
1 Position the emitter onto the rod with the set screw (according to the pics, the rod peaks out just a tiny bit and is not quite flush).
2 Use an exacto blade to scratch a line in the rod there the bottom of the emitter is (this will be completely hidden).
3 Remove the emitter.
4 place the bearing on the other end of the rod about a 1/2 inch and wrap some masking tape around the rod behind it to keep it from sliding back.
5. drop the rod/bearing down into the saber and see if the scratch mark is even with the exit hole.
6 if not, adjust as needed.

once I got it positioned, I scratched another line to mark where the bearing should go. applied superglue to the rod and pushed the bearing down onto the glue right to the line.

I wrapped scotch tape around the rod where it feeds into the saber neck as well as where it fits into the emitter to give it a more snug fit. It still spins freely but made it easier to set the set screws evenly and doesn't wiggle as much.
