lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

Spectemur Agendo!
Well I finally finished my David jacket to be displayed with my Marko jacket. I still need to get a nice case for it but I wanted to share what I have so far. I was able to identify the correct pieces with help from The Lost Boys Facebook group moderators. The jacket was identified as a 1939 Clothcraft by the Prop Store. I was able the find one and match it by the label and the inside pattern of the coat the Prop Store listed.

Okay as much as it pained me I agree 100% about weathering, it's not as authentic unless it's somewhat weathered. Kind of like a un-weathered Star Wars Sandtrooper. You work so hard though for perfection, and it's so perfect, and then your supposed to mess it all up. It's hard to do that. So I decided to just "lightly" weather it. I frayed the front of the leopard tapestry a little more and used earthtone pastel chalk to "dirty" up the white patches. I think that's as much weathering as I'm going to do. The movie used jackets are HEAVILY weathered and I'm not going to do that.View attachment 1484763View attachment 1484764

So, I have been working on my second jacket (2.0). The first was pretty good, but there were some small mistakes that kinda bugged me. That being said, I wanted to take the time to share some of the less visible areas with everyone hoping it will clarify some Grey areas. Now I by no means claim to be an expert, or claim my jacket is 100% correct, it is my interpretation of the photos I have studied. Of the four jackets we have photos of, they are ALL different. I was kind of leaning towards the movie version, however I did not put the number 13 patch on top of the orange live to ride banner and opted to put it under like most of the other jackets. Anyway here's some pics of the progress thus far.

Could you remind me what type of thread you used again? I can't even tell that you sewed these on! :)

I thought I'd do something fun to encourage the RPF members that have made, or are making Marko jacket replicas. I've created a "Wall of Fame", and to be included you must be a member of the RPF, have made the jacket yourself, and it has to be a reasonable facsimile of one of the jackets used. Sorry "Tribute jackets" are not included. There was at least four known documented jackets, the three most popular are the Prop Store hero, Prop Store stunt, and the screen use Alex Winter version. These are listed in chronological order.
1.) bdude93 stunt version.
2.) Vinnytats Prop Store hero (signed by Alex Winter).
3.) Charlie Tearz screen version.
4.) Pennywise screen version (signed by Alex Winter).
5.) Rusty85 Prop Store hero (signed by Alex Winter).
6.) Tiggersmom Prop Store hero.
7.) SlimSadie screen/ PS hero combo.
8.) Your name here...

What colour?
Whatever color you want, I used several. The Upholstery thread I went with black. The other regular thread, I just matched whatever I was sewing. Some of the larger patches I used the Upholstery thread on too, like for example the big one on the arm and some of the others. Please private message me so we don't swamp this post with this conversation.

Well now. Looks like I've run out of room here. Both temple and matador floor will not fit in this gap. Anybody else run into problems like this?

Any "extra" material lose it under the arms where it's not as noticeable. Also do not sew your bottom pieces on until you verify you have enough room for the top pieces because you will probably need to "lose" some material that way too. Otherwise your not gonna have enough space and will be angry when you have to tear it apart to fix it. You're gonna have to think outside of the box and get creative and I'm sure you can make it work. If you have any questions message me privately
I studied everybody's photos again and figured it out. But I am searching for another peacock as I believe I cut off a part I wasn't supposed to. If I have time I'll send it in a pm.

Hello everyone!! Im at my wits end...I gotta get a peacock somehow, or use contrada to get one, if anyone could tell me the dimensions of their peacock Id appreciate it! its the only tapestry I havent been able to get a hold of!
