I was talking with another member here the other day about the multiple jackets used for filming. We know of at least two to exist. I saw this picture the other day and thought maybe this is a "third". Note the placement of the patches 13, skull and knife, and screw you. But more importantly note that the skull 13 patch is missing from the matador tapestry completely. No revelation, but interesting.
Here's my thoughts on these...
If you watch the Carasel sequence in the beginning, the 13 Skull patch was originally in a different spot. It was seemingly ripped off in the scuffle as it appears to be missing after the Boardwalk Cop breaks up the fight. It later appears over the Matador and never moves again. Perhaps that Behind the Scenes shot was from the filming of the Carousel and it was indeed accidentally ripped off?
Middle Pic: The base is not Black, rather a Dark Blue. This could be explained by Fading if the Jacket was Washed regularly, but that's highly unlikely. This one has an added "A" looking patch on the collar that is never seen in any pic of Alex wearing the Jacket. It has the Winged Wheel on the right arm at the Cuff area, which itself is only in one single shot that I've been able to identify in the Movie, but it's missing the "Repent" skull in that area. Lastly, the large "13" patch is tucked under the others instead of over.
The Bottom Pic: This is made on a Blue base. It is missing the Flame Winged Skull on the bottom left under the Outlaw patch. It has the Extra Winged Wheel on the Cuff. It has the wrong Matador from the Reversed Tapestry. The 13 Skull is in the wrong location. It has the Reversed Peacock. The 13 Patch is under the others, not over.
That being said, they are both extremely well made. It is entirely possible that these were used in the movie as I've heard it reported there were anywhere from 4 to 6 Jackets used in filming for the Hero and Stunt jackets.
The Reverse Matadors are most certainly the Stunt Jackets, as there's not one scene or publicity photo of Alex in the Reversed Matador jacket. It's hard to believe they made every Jacket exactly the same, so some slight variations probably exist. This could include different Colors of Jackets especially for the Stunt jackets as most of the Stunts involved far off shots at night in the Motorcycle scenes.
Overall, this kinda stuff is fascinating to me. I love looking at pics of these jackets, and pics of other's Replicas even if they are Work in Progress pics. It's all SO good to see and to speculate on.
