So, I have an amazing friend who has been working on her Loki cosplay outfit for a while and she finally has stuff she's willing to share with all of you wonderful people.

She's working on basing it around this version of the outfit.

I've been watching her build progress and she agreed to let me share it with everyone. Maybe with some coercing she'll chime in and share some more of her progress. :)

This is what it looks like so far.

Sure. :) I'll go through the processes and materials, too. I know there's a lot of Loki builds out there. The only real modification to the design I made for this one is that it's built for a female, me, through the chest area.

custom pattern for the tunic, based on the loki pattern published by costumesbycourtney on deviantart. sadly, she deactivated her account and I can no longer find the images online. I think I have them saved to my computer somewhere though. Not sure.

Tip from a seamstress friend of mine for sewing on leather: Try paperclips instead of pins!

coat back with flap test. None of it's ironed or anything. Just hanging out.

Workin on the coat flaps. You'll notice I'm using snakeskin patterened leather in place of triangle or diamond patterened leather. I couldn't actually find any leather of those patterns. Seems to have worked out ok. Just needed to be careful on how I positioned the pattern pieces.

The ever famous #10 zipper stops. My hands are killing me.

lined and straightened out a bit. I noticed too late that I shaped the shoulder flaps incorrectly. I was so sad.

Updates! I've been working on this on and off for months now.

Tunic fairly complete. Needs sleeve finishings.

A closer shot of the tunic.

Closeup of the sleeve caps.

I'm getting materials together for the pants armor metal diamond-shaped things, so we'll see about casting those.
