The Prequel soundtracks are good though. I believe I have 2 of the 3. But it's odd that Rise of Skywalker didn't have any memorable music. I was really surprised by that. I don't have the soundtracks to any of the Sequel movies.
So many things about the sequels were phoned in. They reused McQuarrie designs that were discarded for the original trilogy. They reused musical queues from the original trilogy, and in doing so, it dilutes the music and power it originally had.
I've mentioned this before. While seeing old McQuarrie designs come to life is cool. (Like the RZ-2 A-wing) It had the effect of making the ST feel even more of a derivative of the OT, as opposed to being its own thing. Not that little bit is bad, look at the opening ship in Episode I, its got a distinct OT feel. Welcoming us in. Before going completely sideways with crazy droid and ship designs. So many things about the sequels were phoned in. They reused McQuarrie designs that were discarded for the original trilogy. The Force Awakens was on TV a while back. I only watched a minute or so of the bar scene. Rey's theme is ok. I did enjoy the snow lightsaber fight as well. But I thought the movie depended on the sequel. And I can't watch either of those again. The best thing to come out of TFA was Rey's Theme. It's so beautiful, and worthy to join the pantheon of individual themes that John Williams wrote for each character. Obi-Wan's theme too.
This is my biggest issue with TFA. I dont hate it and felt its humor was quite good as an entry (it isnt the most original) but so much was contingent on how the sequels would play out (Rey's origins, how they got Luke's saber, why Luke was MIA, who is Snoke and how did he corrupt Ben, why is Finn different/chose to escape, why does Rey have the force and is so strong). The Force Awakens was on TV a while back. Well the main problem with that (other than no one watching) is that Luke was clearly who was intended to rebuild the Jedi Order. You're not going to get over THAT hump with a huge portion of fans.
Yes, it's too clear that George was intending for Luke to reboot the Jedi religion (and for Leia & the rebels to rebuild the galactic govt). The ST basically tossed all that because the OT cast was too old and Disney wanted to re-center on some new 20yo characters.
Yup. The OT ends with the prospects of a happy new future where the jedi are restored by Luke, Leia and Han marry and Leia will likely take the lead as the new leader of the Galactic government, whatever form it may be. The ST honestly started with a good idea of Leia being the "hero" to bring order to the galaxy since neither Luke nor Han have any experience in politics or ruling. Leia is a natural leader who could have united planets thanks to her roles as a leader of the rebellion and as one of their heroes who was personally involved in taking down the empire. ST really should have focused on this, commenting how defeating the bad guys is only half the battle.Yes, it's too clear that George was intending for Luke to reboot the Jedi religion (and for Leia & the rebels to rebuild the galactic govt). There very well could be a planet named hoth in the hoth system. I give you New York, New YorkThe Empire Strikes Back.
"...from a probe droid in the Hoth "system."
"...an energy field surrounding an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth "system."
Wouldn't all this imply that it is actually the star of that solar system that is named Hoth, not the planet itself.
If that is the case then the Family Guy joke may indeed be correct: "Hoth? Shouldn't it be called Coldth?

Like the the gas giant Yavin, in the Yavin system, which is actually with four moons, Yavin I-IV.Sort of, that also means the planet is named Hoth VI. Which you would shorten to just Hoth if it was the only inhabited planet.
