Lady Arbitrator AVP style

RockTuskPred,

Thanks for the review

The secret to the blades...
Silver tape on the inside of the housing
Lots of wax
The right spring, not too loose, not too stiff, not too short and not too long...

It also makes a hollow "POKKK" sound when it gets to the end of the extension

I got the trigger working, good ol' fishing line; loop on finger and a bobbypin shaped piece of springsteel at the back...
Close fist, bend wrist and SHIKKKT! Ready to slice n' dice

I will take a pix and post it once the glue is dry on the line and bobbypin.

How much would it cost to have one of your 'biohelmet LED assembly' thingers?
I never asked. Pm me!

I can't wait to see the blades in action!

Here's a vid of the working wristblades plus a pix of the trigger mechanism:

Just got done putting more velcro, the little squares I put in wouldn't hold them on.

It worked like a charm at the competition at Costume Con26 in San Jose this weekend....
one of the event staff said the audience oohed and aahed at the right moments :)

Bane,

I'm still amped up about the competition and awards, and am tempted to try the San Diego ComicCon in July.

I'd like to make a "real" combistick, and a better wristcomputer- with red LEDs instead of blue-white.

cant wait to see the pics. and good luck to you if you do decide to go to the sand diego comicCon . i say go for it!
but that's me .

Bane,

I registered for Comic Con, Now I have another deadline.....

I will post the combistick as it progresses, also the wristcomputer...

Convention pictures are on the completed suit thread.

looking good i think that is cool how you changed the blades up a bit

it makes your suit more original

Punhulk,

Thanks for checking it out, I found out it has a quirk- if I bent my wrist back and pushed in on the points... it let the tension off the trigger and it would slip, then THOKK! out they came  So I was careful how I held my wrist....

Did you ever go to ComicCon; I hear it gets real crowded... also was wondering if anybody from the Lair has gone and entered the masquerade.

nah, not me, always wanted to go to some sort of con, usually working to much.

work!!! that's a four letter word..... :0 maybe sometime you will get a break... cons are fun!

I decided not to go with a different wristcomputer and combistick just yet.... I needed a better set of dreads and skin, so pursued that....

I got the skin painted up (putting it in here since it needs a zipper or something to close it)
Its a cotton/lycra material, no latex, I just airbrushed directly to it.
I used my dress form and rolled up binder plastics in the arms and legs instead of a duck tape dummy:

HAIR! (not the musical )

I made a frame from leather and added mesh out of a (shiver) Rubies wig; the frame fits over the bio straps.
I then sewed the dreadlocks to it, and put the beads on:

I'm working on a neck ring to hide the suit's collar seam :0

Delonghi

Thanks for checking it out
Suit and hair were the most urgent things to get done, last on the suit is put a new closure...
I trimmed the flap on the zipper too close and it pulled loose ;)
I will probably put velcro, zippers tend to jam at the MOST inopportune times (like suiting up at the hotel at SanDiego )

now its smaller things like the neck ring and then get to upgrading the wristcomputer later...

never stops, does it
