More Pix, I answered one of those questions about the gauntlet

and decided to alter the wristcomputer... took about an inch off the front
Before:
After:
When doing anything that makes resin dust, use a respirator, dampen the item, put it in a large clear bag to catch the dust and pieces, and minimise drilling.... exacto knives and small saws work slower but are less messy....
The guantlet on my arm, looks better:
I figured how to make a space for the countdown circuit, yet allow foam to be added....
A spacer made out of sanding sponges goes in first:
Then put a rectangle of leather in there, with saran wrap under it and up the sides, with leather spacers on the side so the bottom of the gaunt will fit:
The foam will not stick to the saran wrap and when it sets, you can pull it off and the foam is stuck to the leather insert:
That insert can be velcroed to the top, then when the circuitry gets added, it will fit in the space between the leather and the windows.
I also added foam to the sides so the fiberglass wouldn't scratch my arm.... be careful not to add too much and lay it flat so it won't run out the side or ends :0
I also did toe dusters out of leather:
Used 5 minute epoxy to hold them onto the feet armor which was slotted with an exacto knife:
I made a leather piece for the backpack, for a bottom. then I can put batteries and stuff inside of it. It also helps keep the cannon mount section from wiggling around:
more to come....
