Lady Arbitrator AVP style

Tusky,

I am glad you like it, I am inspired by the creativity here :p
I enjoy pursuing the solution to a particular problem just as the hunter does his prey :)

More pix coming, the ones of the biohelmet construction; that one was the hardest.

WOW!!!!

I cant get it through my head that all you armor is made from leather

its such a different approach

normally every one wants resin for there parts but yours look jus as good and there friggin leather

man thats gotta be the neatest way to go with the suit

i think this will help out a lot of ppl in the future

thank you lots for sharin the progress of your suit

TheOneAndOnly, RockTuskPred

Many thanks for the reviews :p

OK, here's the bio from bare leather to finished product....

The straps over and around the head, the face piece attaches to it, also the 'bowl' part goes on top. The band with the mark on it goes over all, the top has overlays on it.

that is truly some kick ass work there...I dig the fact that your suit pieces are made from leather and not the typical resin and latex.

impressive....most impressive...

Andrew,

I'm glad y'all like it, there's still things here and there to do on it, and in one case I'm stuck, but I know I will be able to find the fix, there's a lot of information here and very creative minds !

(pix of small accessories coming....)

TheOneAndOnly,

Thanks for the review; that bio was THE most difficult piece of the suit. All the pieces are glued... the worst one was the "halo" . I had to get it right the first time, contact cement is PERMANENT.

The mesh is that stuff they make ballerina tutus out of, (tulle), and I put four layers sandwiched between two leather pieces (seen in the "interior with mesh..."). The whole thing is velcroed to the inside of the bio so I can swap it for the same thing only with sunglass plastic in it.

I set a microswitch in a spot where all I have to do is stick my tongue between my teeth and upper lip, and push out- then it lights the LED's :) No visible switches!

XphobiaX,

I am glad you like it, like I said, it was the toughest, and I fitted and re-fitted and agonized over it... I guess it came out OK despite the worries ;)

Here's some of those "small accessories":

Closeup of the belt with shuriken and pouches; there's another pouch on the other side to hold my comm... the one you see holds my money and such:
IMG_0584.jpg

The necklace... I saw these downtown L.A. and another I GOTTA HAVE 'EM moment:
IMG_0583.jpg

The "and such" that goes in the money pouch.... The "official" I.D. with my mug and name:
Img_0546.jpg

I guess the Yautja version of the DMV takes pix just as bad as ours does
My earthside ID goes in the compartment under the logo, it opens up if anybody needs to see it....

TheMortalImmortal, TheOneAndOnly

Y'all are welcome....

I was able to get the wristcomputer countdown circuit to work!
I took a video of it and need to upload it to Photobucket... its 13M! ;)
I used regular displays not the individual LED's to check it.

EDIT:
Here's the video, its an .flv file:
th_wristcompLEDsrunning.jpg

Anybody have an idea of how to attach the plasmacaster to the powerpack- with something other than duck tape? The cone part has a wide tab that sticks down into the powerpack, this was taped to the inside.

Update:

I wired the LED board that has them arranged in the Yautja characters, and took a better video:

th_DSCN0554.jpg

An LED is out in each, a different location... probably too much heat from the soldering iron.
They are BRIGHT! I was seeing spots for awhile after I tested it last night
