I don't know what's going on but amazon is coughing up some discounts lol. Unfortunately for me being in CA I'm being charged tax but overall still cheaper then the store. So if I can't get any at target then in definitely placing my order
My target didn't have any of the sabers. At least there weren't any by the time I was able to get in

So I'm still here and based on the employee it's not looking to good on the Saber word is that a lot of stores did not get any so I just went ahead and placed the amazon order just to be safe.

I went to three stores tonight.
Wal-Mart had old stock, and the employees I asked basically said "we don't know why we didn't get the new stuff, this is all we got."
Target was very much the same story.. either they sold out VERY quickly, or they hadn't put it out. The only person I could find basically told me "uhhh I don't know. Sorry." Very helpful.
Toys r us had closed minutes after I finally got there... I guess they decided closing at 1:00 would be a good idea? Peeking through the window, they didn't have much stock either.
Very disappointed with "Force Friday." I'm sticking with Amazon from this point on...

My Target that had a midnight party had only 2. The couple that got them were in line at 730p. I left my hospital job at 1130p lol. Other stores that open at 8am regularly without having had the party do have them in stock. But alas, to save $25 to get it tomorrow after sleeping so little I'm not gonna bother.
I'll hope it turns up on amazon or elsewhere without a mark up. Congrats all who snagged one!!!

Trying to determine whether or not I need to venture out tonight to find one of these. I'm kind of lost here, is this an exclusive item only available on Force Friday? Seems like most stores only have a few in stock or not at all. Or will they be widely available in the coming days and online at the same price?

I'd be willing to bet that with a new Star Wars movie coming out, production numbers are going to be high for most Ep VII character items. It's bad business for Hasbro to make people rely on the secondary market, better to sell them in Target, etc., than for people to get them on eBay. I'd say be patient.

The buddy I was with got the last one (of 3). Which is fine as I was really more interested in the Luke ANH (no joy there :cry). Got to play with his some. The hilt is completely metal and the sounds are very nice. The side blades flicker which is pretty cool. It does scream for a repaint though, I gotta admit...

How does Kylo's feel in hand, accurate (i.e. Vader ANH) or oversized?
Impossible to know without having handled the real deal. It looks proportionate in person, and the grip section is a little thinner than the top part. It is pretty wide though. My middle finger and thumb touch when I wrap my hand around the thicker part. Maybe tomorrow I will take a shot of it in-hand and compare it to the teaser image.

So at my Target, they had two sections for Star Wars toys with two separate lines, one for each section. I picked the one with the Hasbro BB-8 and where the Kylo Ren Force FX lightsaber was SUPPOSED to go (I was 2nd in line). However that spot on the shelf remained empty. Turns out, they did not get them in time for Force Friday. They were not selling any of the other Force FX lightsabers. I ended up getting the Hasbro BB-8, the RC Air Hogs ANH landspeeder and the Hot Wheels two pack of the new Millennium Falcon and the new tie fighter with the black trim. I checked two different Wal-Marts after that and none had a spot on the shelves for Force FX lightsabers. LAME!
