Kolchak: The Night Stalker - His Gear

Watching the series from the beginning again on Netflix. It's like I am watching it for the first time! I let some stuff go on Ebay, I hope someone here nabbed it.

Well looks like my hat is shipping today so Tommorow I will see just how accurate it is

Just got my hat and I must say I am very pleased with it.

It does not have the high crown that was pictured here and it does not look like the Pic on Barons website.

Have to put in some Dvds to compare it too but I'm happy!!

Very nice! I recently got in a bunch of broken watches. Now I just need to go to a watch repair store and see if they can fix one of them. :D The recorder came in but of course I don't have any batteries to test it out. :lol

Got the hat AND the suit today! I was expecting the suit but I figured I was going to get the hat later on in the month. What a great surprise, :D The hat looks great I think, it better after spending $360! Now I need to get the shirt :lol After I get the shirt, won't be any problem at all, I basically have everything, if I don't find the tripod adapter I can still use the camera. What do you use for paper that is that color for his press badge? I don't think I can just go to a wal-mart and find it. Also what do you use for the holder? Just a wallet? :confused As much as I would love to get the stake and mallet, that one will unfortunately probably stay on the back burner, maybe.

I think I figured out how the Rollei flash attaches to the tripod adaptor, will post pics when I get the attachment. Still trying to hunt down the tripod adaptor though!

Also if anyone wants a Sony TC 40 cassette recorder seen in the TV movie, I'm unloading mine since I found a TC 55 used in the series.

This is what I got, off E-Bay for $41.50 shipped.

Anyone know where to find the right flash cable for the Rollei E15B or a part number? The one I got didn't have a cable and I can't seem to find it on Ebay under the search term without having to buy a whole other flash with the cable. Here's a picture of it from a closed auction that included the flash:

Update;
Well I'm an idiot. I forgot that I had the manual for the flash. It lists two different kinds of cords, basically one is straight and one is curly. It lists 3 different kinds of plug ends that can fit into there cameras, depending on what camera you got. Now the flash takes what is simply called a Rollei plug, and there are only two cords listed that have both ends with that. The first one, which is the one that I got, is described as, "40 cm / 16 in. cord" Order No. 309 210, the second is described as, "35 / 125 cm - 14 / 50 in. coiled cord" Order No. 309 203.
My guess is the one posted in jvasilatos picture is actually one with one of the different plug ends listed, which makes since since the flash is actually not made for the Rollei 16 but the Rollei 35.

I think everyone here who puts together a Kolchak costume needs to post pics of themselves fully suited up!

My wardrobe and Rollei pending the flash attachment. Got the shoes and shirt too. The suit was from Jos. Banks, and Carl wears a three button seersucker, I replaced the white buttons with navy blue ones.

Riddle of the flash attachment solved.

Got my Rollei, and found a very simple solution. Get one of these:

Get a a screw without a cap on either end of the right thread, and mate it between this and the Rollei tripod adaptor, then wrap the sync cord from the flash to around the flash shoe and then connect with the tripod adaptor flash input and you're ready to go.

Here's mine minus the cord (found the generic adaptor in my photo supply junk drawer, it's black plastic but same design as what you see above.)

Ready to go monster hunting.
